Somehow, that moment is more dramatic than funny
@@Aukejorrit that moment was comedic. I'mma be honest, most moments in the movie were comedic. BUT If you look past that, if you look behind the comedy, you'll see that there were deeper meanings hidden within the comedy.
Within the movie, you'll see that Jojo, a German, had to experience the casualties of war, he lost his mother, his father, his childhood. Jojo didn't get to be a normal kid, he didn't get to have fun as a child, instead he was introduced to war at an early age. War against his countrys enemy, and war against his bullies.
Then we have the girl, Elsa Korr, a Jew. She had to live in fear of being killed by the Germans. And like Jojo, she also has lost someone and something, her family, her boyfriend/fiancee, and her freedom.
These two, different in race, yet still the same. Still found the peace within the chaos. In the end, both of them filled a hole that was lost by the other. In the end, Jojo has a woman to love and look up to and Elsa has a boy to love and live for.
I could talk a whole day about this movie if I could. And, I mean, there's a reason why Jojo Rabbit won Best Writing

I think Superbad is still so popular because it's an immature teen sex comedy, but it also has a heart, with characters that feel real. And the friendship between Cera and Hill's characters is everything.
Also because it is more relatable that other movies in that genre. Everyone has been through that moment, trying to get booze to a party and impress a girl in-between making crude comments. The same reason The Inbetweeners was such a hit TV series.

Plus while the whole "have sex with drunk girls while being drunk" is a horrible lesson, glad the movie didn't accomplish that
I think Super Bad holds up so well because the characters, events, and motivations feels so real and relatable

Good boys is literally gen z’s version of Superbad. It’s a very funny film though

It’s actually being re-released in theaters. Was supposed to be in 2020 for it’s 10th anniversary. But got pushed back.

Walk Hard and Observe and Report are criminally underrated and uncredited. Personally kinda disappointed Not Another Teen Movie and Scary Movie didn't at least get a shoutout either.

It was around 2015/ 2016 where the crop of comedy films lowered imo, and so, I haven't watched a lot of comedy films in recent years. There's too many reasons to explain why that is but I won't bother for now. Also, if Guardians of the Galaxy were to be considered a comedy film, then I'd place the sequel as my pick in 2017 and the same goes for Deadpool in 2016.

As soon as yall said Best in Show I knew we were gonna be in full agreement for the rest of the list. I could watch What We Do In the Shadows every night for the rest of my life. Also, Jojo Rabbit was surprisingly wonderful but I should've known it was gonna be special, coming from Waititi.

I remember when I watched the first hangover in theater I thought I was going to bust a gut by how hard I was laughing. It's not often that comedies really get me laughing, it's usually a couple of laughs that die off pretty quick (that's not to say they aren't good). I thought i was gonna die laughing watching the hangover 😂
Tag (2018) was another surprising movie i watched that i was not expecting to laugh so much at

2005 and 2012 are my favorite years for comedy when Hitch and Ted came out. Hitch is a clever rom com and Ted got me to like Seth McFarlane's humor. Wish his shows were funny.

I think the Hangover was the best comedy film and that was like 12 years ago... I still watch it even today its great so is the Part 2 & Part 3 although They were not as good as the first one but it was still great to watch, it keeps me hooked for a while anyway
I have seen every movie like ten times and there's a lot to point out like Jonah hill,Steve carell, WILL FERRAL, and Seth Rogan being in half of these movies, Ben Stillers movies are amazing, that one death scene is my favorite scene from any movie, wedding crashers was a very funny movie and I wish it could've been mentioned more, and it's funny how brie Larson was on the list back to back
