You are absolutely killing it Austin. I never comment, but your channel has made it to my top 3 avorite channels. Don't stop what you do!! Your fab skills have gotten so good over the last 2 years. I hope the views start pouring in.
You might be able to add a full width bench in the back if you incorporate the coil-overs into an armrest box that has cup holders. The gap between the fabbed boxes and the window could be storage areas. That would also give you a spot to mount the reservoirs out of sight.
Austin I'm no TH-camr so idk crap about views or revenue, but you're my favorite channel on youtube and I check back daily to see if you've uploaded even though i have notifs on. I found your channel looking for interior mods for my 99 taco, and since then I've binged every build series you've uploaded. I hope as this build progresses you'll see the views roll in on these suspension vids as people inevitably go back in time to see how you built this beast!
Austin, Love your work and the projects you choose to work on. Appreciate how much time, work and $$ goes into a production of this level. Thank you so much for keeping us all entertained and educated!!
Austin, I just wanted to take a moment of your time and say thank you for all that do you. I am just one of your faithful followers that pray for your health and success. Youve inspired me, “a self taught independent do it yourselfer” to tackle the unknown, and to not be afraid of facing challenges. Because of you, I’ve been able to build my 2nd 4runner to the rig it is today, and I’m damn proud to look back at it when I walk away to hang the keys up. I’ve tackled just about every corner of it and am so much more knowledgeable because of it. Now I’m setting an example for my new born son to follow through the same path, babies are expensive lol, so I’ll have to pick up your hood struts when I can save up the extra money, but I’ve bought some merch from your store, and just like your videos, found that they are top quality as well. You’re content is so greatly appreciated. You’ve got our love, blessings and support brother.
When this is done. Come down to Western CO or Moab and we can hit some good stuff. As for the rusty metal not cutting. Remember a good ground is a must for welding and cutting. You may want to either wire wheel the whole sheet or I would add a separate ground/cable clamp that goes directly to the sheet. Then just grind to bare metal and attach the clamp there.
Fj40 LC is my dream build so after watching your videos for the past 3 years it’s so awesome to see you working on one! Keep up the good work sharing this with everyone I know
Man with three QUALITY of your film production AND craftsmanship, you should be Rollin in the $$$. You certainly deserve. I thoroughly look forward to your videos. Keep it up! Maybe consider merch or affiliate links if not doing so already. Great job so far I cannot wait to see the final product!!!!
I think TH-cam's algorithm is turning around for you. I watch a lot tech/math/vehicle builds/survival and, yours started coming up recently. I finally clicked on the Suzuki, watched that and skipped up to this FJ build. Hopefully more people like me are starting to see and click on your videos. Well done. I like your unabashed and humble approach. Keep it up and hang in there a little longer!
Good timing with your vids coming out! i am doing a ls conversion, links and coils on my 60 series cruiser as well. excellent workmanship and video quality btw.
I love you videos , you have awesome skills, keep it up , watching you from Mozambique, Africa Country, we speak Portuguese, you videos help me to improve my pronunciation and understanding, thanks have good may God Bless you
Came here for a diesel taco a long time ago, but this kinda fab is what I'm stickin around for! Hopefully your views & such go up man, because I love this kinda TH-cam content & your doing awesome work. 👍
Thoroughly enjoy your videos, been telling my friends interested in fab, welding, suspension, powder coating, you do this all yourself. Keep up the good work and the subscribers will follow!
One thing that I think viewers will definitely want to see is you out with family/friends wheeling that FJ40? I know alot of viewers will definitely tune into that!@@austinniemela
Austin you’re one of four channels I watch on YT. Your fabrication skills are mad crazy, never cease to amaze in what you can imagine and then bring to life on your collection of rigs. This is one lucky Toyota to have come into your possession. Hopefully things only go up from here for you and the channel. Devin is how I original found you, no longer follow his channel. Keep up the good work man.
That 40 is an awesome build and it is going to be wicked. Sorry to see the Tacoma go as well as the Hilux, would have loved to see more content on those guys! 😢 Anyway you have to do what you got to do to keep the project going. Keep up the good work!
Hi Austin. I know absolutely nothing about fabricating or welding and i dont modify vehicles. Nevertheless I can tell from watching your videos you're very good at what you do so I watch your videos whenever they get uploaded. Thank you for entertaining us with your skills 🙂
Rear seat: If I had that build, I would make the crossbars of the rear risers the seat frame for the bench seat. And make it to where it can bolt and unbolt. And possibly bolt in a single crossbar for when you are out single and need the extra room. Just a thought! Keep it going brother! Love the show. 👏
Thank you for the sweet vid. Sick fab man. For the cuts i wipe the steel in evaporust and a quick scotchbrite wheel. Just found your channel and binged the hilux playlist
Austin te sigo hace varios años, desde Argentina. Me parece fabuloso todo los trayecto que realizas y con la claridad que trasmitis todo. Siempre 👍. Slds.
Hey Austin, on the rust sheets - try and spray WD40 or CRC penetrating fluid on the rust side, not excessive just a thin coat and try a cut. That’s what we do - but running a laser cutter.
Just my lame advice: Hi Austin. I’m a subscriber and I have several channels I watch regularly. I am a fan of your channel, but I would like to see more content more often. Two of my favorite channels are Matt’s Off Road Recovery and Fab Rats. They are very popular channels that are doing very well. They seem to have their channels dialed in on content. They post three times a week with videos around 20 mins to 45 mins. Your videos are spaced out much farther and people (I think) lose interest. More content more often keeps viewers engaged. You can show more actual work too. Seems boring to you maybe but we’re here for it. Hope your subscriptions go way up! Good luck!!!
Thanks for your input! Yes I understand that but I’m a one man show! It’s hard to fabricate an entire suspension, film it and edit it in 2/3 days! Just the labor alone takes a week or 2!
I get it, or not, lol. Never edited a video in my life. I just love the content and more is better for me. Keep it up and that cruiser is bad ass!!!!! 👍👍👍
Rust does make the plasma cut quality worse. Best results are when the metal is clean. I remember reading that in my hypertherm manual.... But I can't speak to the reason why. I forgot that part.... Awesome videos keep up the work!
Maybe instead of two bench seats, have four individual jump seats. One on each side of the shock towers. Could possibly incorporate the top of the towers into arm rests or something.
I have the same crossfire pro, I noticed if it's not a clean ground spot for My ground it gets pissed at me and cuts way worse than usual too. Maybe clean the ground area where your are clamping before starting to cut?
Great build. cant you make pushrod suspension on rear since limited space?(just a idea popped up in head when i saw how narrow it was between wheel and frame)
Maybe branch out and do builds for local folks. That way they pay for the parts and the labor and you can actually make a profit. If I wasn't on the East Coast I'd bring you my 5th Gen 4Runner.
I prefer your longer videos. These bite size videos are just not my thing. Since you’ve been separating the steps out into smaller vids I just wait a few weeks/month to watch them. 🤷♂️ I use TH-cam as my primary source of entertainment. Don’t get me wrong, I still love the videos.
Sad that these are apparently not getting the views they deserve. These suspension videos are freaking awesome. The fab here is on another level.
Seriously I don’t understand how he doesn’t get way more views for the quality and unique projects he puts out
Comment to boost for sure, good work, and I appreciate your OCD. Many wouldn't bother with the little details, but it matters.
You are absolutely killing it Austin. I never comment, but your channel has made it to my top 3 avorite channels. Don't stop what you do!! Your fab skills have gotten so good over the last 2 years. I hope the views start pouring in.
Thank you!!
thats a bummer YT is not doing its part to support quality content. definitely enjoy your videos and great build!
Also the way you explain things is awesome. Gives us some understanding in the decision making process along with the Fabrication itself
You might be able to add a full width bench in the back if you incorporate the coil-overs into an armrest box that has cup holders. The gap between the fabbed boxes and the window could be storage areas. That would also give you a spot to mount the reservoirs out of sight.
Love watching the build. Adding a comment to help the almighty algorithm
OCD? Shouldn't that be CDO...... In alphabetical order, AS IT SHOULD BE! Loving the FJ40 build series. Great fabrication work!

That is awesome!! I know how expensive kids are haha I have 2! I really appreciate it!!
i dont understand how you havent blown up on youtube yet your craftsmanship is top notch

Big fan of all your custom work! True engineering with all that mathematic measurements to make it all fit, outstanding!
Just discover this gem, the series of this build is so exciting, high quality work man 🤙

you have an amzing fab skills, I learned a lot from your video, I always follow your FJ40 project..keep it up..shout out from Philippines.
When I see a new video of your chanel it's a MUST WATCH for me. You give me the motivation on building something on my own.
Excellent video! thanks for taking the time to film and share! commenting to help out! you deserve the views.

@@austinniemela I've been binging the FJ build last night and this morning. The Macy's Parade is *yawn* boring... :D

Lots of 💪 (flex) you've come a long way from the old dirt bike videos, keep up the great work.
I don’t get it man. You should be hitting 100k views on each video in my opinion, savage work🙌
Well thank you! I appreciate that! We’ll get there someday!
Thank you for the sweet vid. Sick fab man. For the cuts i wipe the steel in evaporust and a quick scotchbrite wheel.
Just found your channel and binged the hilux playlist
Sweet ill have to try that! Thanks and welcome to the channel!
i always waiting this vid update since the first you star FJ40 build, keep it up!! thats some quality vid with good explanation.
nice work excellent execution and fabrication.
Leaving this comment to Support... Iam from the 1/10 Scale Crawler Hobby.. but i Like watching Our builds... Greetings from Germany
Austin te sigo hace varios años, desde Argentina. Me parece fabuloso todo los trayecto que realizas y con la claridad que trasmitis todo. Siempre 👍. Slds.
I send these vids to a yota group chat I got every time they come out. Hope the revenue picks up for you dude.
Sick build as always! Keep up the awesome work! 15:11

Love this built
Iv been binge-watching for several days now lol Im really enjoying your content.
I run a cnc plasma at work most days it’s powered by a Hypertherm 85 mostly cut 4-12mm sometimes 25mm slag is normal
Loving this build man...wish I could hire you to build me a built Tundra 4 door!
Great job man,
That seating is going to be tight,
But it’s going to flex like a champ.
Amazing work, man! Love the build!
Rust does make the plasma cut quality worse. Best results are when the metal is clean. I remember reading that in my hypertherm manual.... But I can't speak to the reason why. I forgot that part....
Awesome videos keep up the work!
Thanks for the info!
Awesome job my brother. My fav videos on TH-cam!
Thank you!!!
Claw hammer for the win! I’m watching your videos and the ads.
Great EP Austin! Looking 🔥 and making progress as always!
Good job. I’ve been telling my buds about your channel. Hope it starts to pay off for your soon. Don’t lose faith!
Love it, awesome streaming on big tv too🤘🏼
Guardafango Custom y jaula anti vuelcos 💪🏼👌🏽
Love this build.
Maybe instead of two bench seats, have four individual jump seats. One on each side of the shock towers. Could possibly incorporate the top of the towers into arm rests or something.
Awesome work! Man I can’t fab in shorts and tee shirts though you are tough.
Thanks! I can't wear pants when the shop is 90+ degrees!! Its hot out here!
Hi fron New Zealand great work fella
I have the same crossfire pro, I noticed if it's not a clean ground spot for My ground it gets pissed at me and cuts way worse than usual too. Maybe clean the ground area where your are clamping before starting to cut?
great work
👏👏👏good luck for the next.
This videos are Gold Bro!
U should have went 2 inches wider on the front and rear end for cleaning all suspension it still would be badass its by far the best build so far .
I bet a samurai rear bench seat would fit between those shock towers
Ill have to look into that!
why not turn the shocks 180 degrees so that the reservoir connection is facing out and won't interfere with a seat install?
I’ll probably do that 👍 but the mounts themselves will be in the way of a seat
Matt’s off-road recovery would approve of the claw hammer.
Nice work ❤️ 👍
Thanks ✌️
Austin, realizas un gran trabajo, te felicito, tus videos son excelentes a mi parecer mejor que muchos otros
Está quedando Perfecto 💪🏼👌🏽💯💯🔥🔥
Great build. cant you make pushrod suspension on rear since limited space?(just a idea popped up in head when i saw how narrow it was between wheel and frame)
Your vid’s are awesome!! I live vicariously thru your OCD lol
Looking good!
Hey man I appreciate how often you upload. Great job keep it up!
More great work as always....keep it up man!
Love the fab videos.
How much absorver shock
love your videos man. would pay a subscription fee honestly. have learnt heaps from your channel. keep up the great work
Awesome, thank you!
Are you going to seal up the intrusions in the rear? Going to get lots of water, dust and mud up in there.
Very good job! Be careful with electric tools, like on 12:30. The disk of the sander is too close to your T-shirt!
Measure with both tires on
What! Dang! “Smash 👊👍🏽
With the cutouts in the rear towers, won’t that allow dirt and water to get in your cab or do you plan on doing some sort of fender well?
Yeah I’ll cover that somehow!
Yesss brother,, you are back. N with another banger! Nice work man. 🙌🏽
Thanks!!!
Nice progress! Curious if you trust the PVC not to flex too much while you’re mocking up the travel clearances…..
It may flex a little bit but I don’t think enough to matter!! Thank you!
I love your videos!!!
This thing is sweet
🔥💯👌🏽

Commenting just to help the algorithm ;)
Hey Austin. Been following your builds for a while now. Great stuff. What laser level are you using? Trying to find one for my project.
That's just an amazon special!
Austin, why are you not tigwelding the bracket them?
We got you bro! Will make sure to spread words about your wonderful channel. Keep Up The Great Work!
Thank you!!! Much appreciated!
Could Do a inboard cantilever setup mount the rear coil-overs horizontal on the rear fender
I'll throw a comment down to help with the algorithm.
Let's go man a little closer each time can't wait for the next video
Are you getting any rear steer at all due to the uneven triangulation of the rear links?
TH-cam seems to be getting greedy on the backs of the talented people who develop great videos.
Yes they sure are!!
Make longer videos. I watch u at work 20 min video not long enough bud !
