prod 6 foot 3 guy here with a 7.5 inch wrist, a dress watch shold not even get to the new silly number of 39. Sure above 39 when there is a rotating bezel involved or an extreme stepped bezel. Things are moving in the right direction though. Wei Koh, I keep asking for a Tissot collaboration with the Tissot Banana with a manual wind, it will be a great project.
Gentlemen, you really have great knowledge of watchmaking. But do not start stating rules. Just think that there is a great number of Europeans who have larger wris-sizes than 17cm.
Height and weight don’t matter. It’s wrist size and shape that make the difference. I’m a big guy with large flat wide, wrist and I can wear 37mm easily cause it sit in the center of my wrist.
That Daniel Roth is a stunner! 🏆
Glad to see the trend of case sizes slowly return to their classical dimensions.
But tag heuer f1 didn’t get the memo
44mm and 14.5 thick to house only 42 hour power reserve

I'm a big guy 6'4 , 210lbs.. 37mm looks ridiculous on me.
Primarily for dress watches, but yes, watch sizes are ultimately subjective and evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
You're an exception to the rule Sasquatch.
Hublot has you covered! 😎
You’re in the minority but for the rest of small wrist people out there, 37m is where it’s at

I’m 6’8” and love a dress watch so 39 to 40 looks perfect on me so just because you guys are small I’m sure a 36mm looks fine on you
😂
39mm is minimum size for me, 100 KG, 190 cm… these tiny watches are pretty on women though !
Random rules… perception of proportion is subjective
Lange 1815 too big? No!!
37mm is too small even for my wife. On me its far, far to small, like a child's watch. 43mm is he sweet spot for me.
Yep
Whenever I hear watch nerds start whining about watch size I have to quash my desire to vomit.
