Looking good 👍🏽 . Is this the only method used to treat your boots ? The middle section of the boots looks darker. Have you used oil or any waxes other than the conditioner.. ? Your boots are aging amazingly! 🙌🏽
Thanks! There is plenty of other methods or products to use for cleaning boots. I usually always opt for anything that won't darken my boots as much so I can allow it to patina naturally. The middle section darkens the most because that area creases the most and the leather tends dry up faster causing it to darken.
Depends on the environment your using the boots. If it's mostly office use then not often, it'll mostly need a simple Conditioning. Now if it outdoor use like construction then you'll probably need a full wash and conditioning.
You can but that depends if it comes with a removal leather insoles. You can also just put a wooden shoe tree and that should absorb moisture and help keep its shape. Hope that helps ✌🏽
@@Allen_Cameron They really do help and for more than just reshaping the boot. I put mine in my work boots daily and the cedar trees soak up moisture and help prevent my boots from developing a smell.
hey awesome boots!!!! I love how they look better with age. How many years old are your iron rangers and do you wear them daily? Thanks!@@Allen_Cameron
If you''ll always add the word "ASMR" to the names of your videos, you'll always get more organic views and subscribers. The sound is great in your video - thanks! It was nice to hear.
@@Allen_Cameron thanks! I didn’t know what I was doing when I purchased my pair of 8111’s back in early 2020. I oiled them to utter darkness. I wish I would have went the same route as you and let them naturally patina.
@@brianlambTN Honestly I made the same mistake and put mink oil. However, its okay because that's how you learn what not to do. Bick 4 leather conditioner & Cadillac leather lotion are the best conditioners that I recommend that won't darken leather.
These are 8.5 in wide and they can sometimes look clownish if your order a big size around the toe cap but overall I'd say you've nothing to worry about.
If your Red Wing boots is not Factory Seconds then you can get lifetime cleaning, conditioning & new laces.. I send all my Red Wing boots to get it done. Sorry but Time is too valuable for cleaning shoes or pay the kids to do it. Good luck
I do mine because i do it right im meticulous whether they're my iron rangers or my aldens or A edmond dalton booths it's actually quite relaxing and something of a stress reliever
Sending them off seems more involved if you're considering time wasted. The video is 30 minutes long and they were done right and ready to wear. Zero time wasted.
Fantastic video.
The creases on the boots are awesome!!
One of the most underrated shoe shine channel
Thank you !!

I enjoyed this video. Great work.
What watch and bad is it that you are wearing ?
I appreciate the support! and I believe the watch is a Timex Expedition.
Is it necessary to use saddle soap every time before conditioning or will it be fine with just giving it a good brushing?
No it's not necessary unless it's super dirty but I honestly just condition and brush once a month.
How often would you recommend redwing boots be cleaned like this?
Depends on the environment your using the boots. If it's mostly office use then not often, it'll mostly need a simple Conditioning. Now if it outdoor use like construction then you'll probably need a full wash and conditioning.
Do you clean and condition the footbed? After all it is also leather.

Great job!
Consider boot trees to help reshape the boot.
I agree, ive heard boot trees help. These boots have been through a lot.

Yes, I believe they are.
You have to let ‚em dry a day before buck 4 application
Not necessarily, but it doesn't hurt if you try
Those look like mine lol
4+ years with them and they've patinaed nicely 👌🏽

Most of the time it's a quick process of brushing and conditioning. I try to clean them every few weeks and it usually takes less than 5 minutes.
