Can you make a video of to make a catenary curve with divisions? I was trying to create a patio lighting system where I can control the points and attach light fixture families to those points. I can make a three point arc for the shape, but then I had to place each fixture individually. Has to me a better way. I imagine this can be done with Dynamo easily. However, I am not very skilled at Dynamo.
@@BINHE615 looks like it. I will have to slow the video down to follow what you are doing. It does look like a catenary curve with divisions. Thanks. Will let you know how I make out. Regards. Great videos.
A question. Is there an option using the adaptive family to do two things? 1: No point at the beginning and end of the curve 2: option for moving the point away from the curve (fixture hangs down from the curve. Thanks for all these great videos. I have been using Revit for 6 years now and always learning new things. Regards Gregg
Q1: yes, if you select a divided path, you will be able to find the 2 setting "Beginning Indent" and "End Indent" in the Properties. You can use them to offset the nodes at the ends. Q2: Yes, you can building your adaptive family away from your adaptive points, I will post a video tonight, a bit like that.
man this was the most amazing demonstrating of revit skills, that i had ever seen !! truly flawless
