I just bought this but my mine was blocked by standard rocks and I just used the pick axe on them. I couldn’t find any iron ore in the mine though to fix the chair quest benny gave me, am I doing something wrong?

did they update it?? i got access to the mine using only a basic pickaxe, but the area to redwood still requires a bomb n hector isn't giving me sally hint after i finish his requests
Hi need help Got the pickaxe that needs repairing. It's broken. Tried to solve the repairing issue -but there hasn't been any update quest or further instruction on repairs! What should I do to get the pickaxe fixed!? Thanks in advance. Edited: The pickaxe isn't found in Moss store either it's an empty spot there. Should I sell the pickaxe to Moss to see if it spawns in his shop !?
I've been doing quest for sherf and Hector and still nothing, but I only needed a pickaxe to get into the mines. I'm guessing you're on PC and I'm on Nintendo switch, so must be some differences.

The iron is random rock drops and can be found further in

There likely have been updates but I couldn't tell you specifically what was updated over the past year.
bit late now but for anyone else, bombs are now part of the mayor merit system.

Use stone instead of wood. You can make slabs at the workbench

you can also just dig in one spot over and over and get your sand

My mine didn't need the bomb. I had regular pickaxe rocks, so I don't know where to get the recipe
As an FYI - once you rest for the night the holes you dug the day before are gone.
