I saw somewere that Geburah corresponds to the left arm of god and Chesed to the right arm. In your video you teach otherwise. Do you have an explaining to this correspondance? Any sources?
Hi Gustavo, this depends on how you have a look at the tree of life. The micro- or macrocosmos. Facing the tree of life is the correspondence of the macrocosmos, having the tree of life "in your back" is the corresdpondence of the microcosmos. We hope this makes t a bit more clear for you. Error in 2:49 "Chesed is associated with the left arm." This is a mistake, Chesed is on the right pillar, the right arm, which is considered masculine. Geburah is the on the Left arm the left pillar, the feminine. I think this series got all the sides wrong. Chocma is wisdom, it is the masculine spark of insight, the seed. It is also on the right pillar. Binah is understanding, it is the feminine, it takes the seed of insight and builds upon it, like a womb builds a baby from a seed. Chessed, is expansion, it is giving and giving with no limitation, it is a masculine aspect, expansion with no restrictness. Geburah is restriction (on the giving) it gives borders to the giving of Chessed. Also... Chessed is not translated as mercy, it really has no translation, but is best translated is loving kindness. Mercy is the middle pillar, the union between Chessed and Geburah.

We think you refer to the perspective of Adam Qadmon - the universal man. And regarding Adam Qadmon you are right. The traditional Qabbalistic teachings indeed assign Chesed to the right arm. Modern Qabbalists agree concerning the body of Adam Qadmon, but concerning mortal human beings they believe that strength is found on the right side (Gevurah) and mercy on the left.
