      Haha thanks Perrie! Ya making videos is extremely time consuming, especially if it's got higher production value. As far as it being worth your time in a monetary way, that's not the case but for a small percentage of youtubers. In the meantime I still enjoy doing it so hopefully the channel can grow. I was all in today again at PLO. Had the ol 5678 one suit...I'll have to leave you hanging as I might detail it in a vlog ;)

    At the 3:30 mark, if it limps around to you in the BB, why are you saying we can "open" large or check here with TT? It's only an "open" if it's folded around to you and it's your turn to act FIRST right?

    • @woswasdenni1914
      @woswasdenni1914 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      my 2 cents for your AQ hand, if you think on betting then usually half the effective stacksize bet is a jam. so before betting 200+ on 400 effective its a jam. about the bet/jam itself yea usually a jam.
      ofc a check back to get your usual 2 street of value on the river is fine too, bit less variance there

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya woswas denni I like just jamming turn to balance with my draws and strong hands. Checking back here on the turn IMO is bad because of how wet the board is.

      Agreed. You should find a better place to record. But you have one of the best handanalysis of all vloggers. With JohnnyVibes (great camerawork/ editing) and Pokerstatistician (boring visually). Understand that it takes time and since you have a son it's diffucult to find those extra hours. Maybe in the future?

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya Lucky Chances is hit or miss. Games can be decent but the quality is nowhere near what it used to be. I think that's the case for most poker rooms in America. Poker unfortunately is dying and it needs something to give it a kickstart.

  • @grindix
    @grindix 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    big overbets on flop are almost always draws/ weak hands . AJ KJ is never going to overbet; thats some serious run bad right there. with regards to online play do you ever play on ACR? what do u think of it /withdrawals on it etc?

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ya I mean in this spot it would just never ever make any sense to have a real hand here...hence why I had to figure out a way to get him to spazz off. Mission accomplished lol. Naw I've never played on ACR. I used to play on bodog/bovada way back in the day but that's about it. Never really enjoyed playing online. I really really enjoy the human element of live poker and feel it's where my strong suit lies.

    • @grindix
      @grindix 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lol thought u there was nothing better than being able to play from the comfort of your own couch; I guess this applies to pokerstars / partypoker and not any website. I have played on bovada too and the anonymous aspect is good. I play more on ACR now with some of their promotions being better but I havent played for long/ much as i play live more (agreed about the human aspect of it and how it can give one a lot of edges) and was wondering about withdrawals with them.

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha ya I guess I meant more so if the games were good then there's nothing better than being a couch potato 😝 I feel like for the most part online play is significantly tougher than live games, especially when comparing similar stakes. For example 2/5 live is way softer than a 2/4 or 3/6 game online. So what I really want is some big site to come back and bring all the 🐟🐠🐡

    Happy Anniversary!
    Don't worry about the J8 hand. Guy was an idiot to call that and just got lucky.
    AQ hand, you already realized the jam would be a better bet. Yes, his flop call was not great.
    You were playing these hands correct, just went up against some lucky fish. One thing to remember is not to assume your opponent is thinking it through the way you would. Why did he call the flop bet? Because he thought he might get lucky on the gutshot and he did. 80% of the time you are taking that. Shrug it off and hope he is at your next table!

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Sean 👍🏼 ya I'm not sweating it. All part of the game :) I definitely agree that one of my biggest weaknesses is assuming that my opponents think or play a certain way. It's hard not to place some basic principals of play on others but it's surely a mistake. You just never know when someone is doing something extremely strange or next level. That's what makes the game so great 😁

  • @jolaz69
    @jolaz69 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I thought when the guy jammed, he had a set of 6's when you were holding AQ. K10os is a bit of a shocker, but considering he is holding the king of clubs, maybe he would fire on the turn if the club hit knowing it would be hard for you to raise since he had the nut flush blocker and also he would be getting fold equity with the bet. I think Doug Polk would approve of the loose call on the flop.

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Haha ya, I thought it was possible he had 6s as well. I've definitely made the call in his spot I just like it a lot better if he's in position and deeper. Ahhhh well :)

  • @joshuahoggard6257
    @joshuahoggard6257 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    "Speech play" worked a treat (in this instance) how you got him to put in his chips with 13% equity after he bet double pot, on the flop. I don't have a clue. Hands like that are hilarious (well for the viewer lol).
    But being results orientated is this player going to fold an over-pair or like QK/QT here? If he can call you off with Ace high after talking. The talking is intended to change course of action. We probably don't want him to encourage him to "hero fold" or start thinking with an over-pair in a spot like this if that's what we think were up against. (Obviously not a hero fold but he didn't seem capable of folding QQ/KK/AA so don't want to talk him into doing so - would be my logic).
    You can still represent 98/KQ that is enough to warrant a call for the fish. So shoving is far better as an exploitative play since it prevents scare cards or him thinking "what if he has a better hand?". Overbetting anything on this flop is bizarre since the calling range can just become a jack (it's hard to know what to do when playing against someone without a brain). Obviously you got max value in the long run. Weird hand. A bluff makes more sense since it could fold out better. But then to call off when he was bluffing is mental.
    Could you do a series of fish reviews...
    "I thought he was bluffing so I snapped him with my ace high but also had a gutshot to the nut straight. Made the nuts knew it was coming, that's why I called. I am so good at poker!"
    "I figured if I could try and make a straight it may pay off big. Got there coolered him, easy game. Never overplay AQ limp in with it - AVOID big pots - check the turn haha" (puts in 14% off his stack on flop call to hit 3 jacks) (flop float out of position with two people to act behind).
    The AQ was obviously standard. With KT unless he has plans on winning the hand through other means than getting there. He is not going to make a profitable call. He is 11/1 to hit the turn & needs to have a plan when he misses. (There isn't the implied odds available if he always wins stacks when he hits - it's still not profitable). I suppose he did have the backdoor flush draw & it's okay if he has a plan. Anyway. Probably not.
    Like the over-bet probably wants to be a bit bigger not leave money on the table. In-case he calls with K9 suited. If you have a draw you would be committed anyway so probably best shoving with both..
    Overbet think it's fine. Just becomes awkward when thinking of balance `& you want to value bet AT/AK. Bet sizing can influence decisions & may need to make thinner calls as a part of overall strategy if strongest hands are not within range. And opponent is good enough to realise this. But probably not this player.

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As always you come with the excellent analysis Joshua :) ya both these hands were a bit interesting. I try and leave out the boring standard hands where you flop a set vs an overpair and stack the guy. Sure it's nice to hear I won but if there's no real value in speaking about it then why do it. As for the speech, I just knew given his bet sizing that something goofy was going on and I'd have to do something strange myself in order to get him to get out of line some more...it worked perfectly, sort of lollll

    • @joshuahoggard6257
      @joshuahoggard6257 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I strongly agree. Someone needs to tell Neeme that! He flops a set vs an overpair - every hand :)
      Two annoying results but (in the long run) that's got to be the aim (everytime). Just sometimes doesn't go to plan. That's poker.
      I am sure you have had your fair share of swings if you are used to playing the great game of PLO. And know that far more than most.
      It probably shouldn't be but it can be additionally irritating when it's the "last hand". But it is what is & that's irrational, I guess.

    Charles, I think KT,KJ,JJ, with the king of clubs is in his calling range, I would bet(small) fold the turn if he jams unless I knew he was capable of bluffing and if he was I think it would be a river bluff, I think your always beat here.

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We'll have to agree to disagree :) sort of depends on the opponent, however if we bet small he can incorrectly overvalue hands such as AJ/A6 and the occasional J6 that made a funky loose call preflop from the blinds. I think there are times to make exploitative folds with strong hands but doing so for 50 or so big blinds once raised is going to be a mistake long term in my opinion.

    • @SetMiner
      @SetMiner 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think your right on the player dependent thing, It would actually be wrong for him to fold KT on the flop(see Ed Miller) he turns the nutz, I love this discussion, what hands do you think he's continuing with? By the way beautiful to see you with your son, raised 5 kids myself. Old but not a nit.

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey SetMiner, sorry I didn't see your reply. I thinks he's continuing with nearly 100% of his flopped flush draws. Also all his Ax combos. There's some percentage of the time he's also continuing with some strong queens like KQ and QJ. I think his value range on the turn is much wider than just KT so not much we can do here. Wow 5 kids! I can't imagine that haha, one is already a handful :) hope you've been running well!

    regarding the talk about getting in tough situations in 100BB poker....I think given the size of the pot going to the flop $75...his effective stack was $455...that's an SPR of about 6......it's close...but Top 2 in that situation is a hand you want to have most the time....I know the rule of thumb is normally for the SPR to be between 7-16 for Top 2 but 6 is pretty dang close....he was getting $130/$55 with a gutter....he shouldn't have called even considering the backdoor flush draw he had....you got unlucky there that's all....happens to the best of us

      CzechRaiseCharles I’ve been playing their since 06 and the number of beats I get their compared to everywhere else is insane. I play at Graton bay 101 matrix Harvey’s and in Vegas. I understand the drive isn’t good but I seem to always do better away from lucky.

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      What stakes do you play when you're at lucky Chances? Ya I've heard some people complain thinking there's collusion etc but it's just that there's so much action and people hate folding so you're going to see more bad beats as hands that shouldn't be in are arriving at the river. Yesterday this action player ran up 1k to over 5k playing nearly every single hand. Right before he decided to leave he gave away 3500 or so in a matter of 20 mins...so it comes and goes haha

    • @415bayshark
      @415bayshark 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      CzechRaiseCharles I think there is some collusion in the tournaments and a lot of soft play in the cash games since a lot of the same players play everyday. I like the 2-3-5 at matrix. I have a kid also so it’s really hard to play a lot so I’m pretty much a weekend warrior now. I’m really enjoying your vlogs.

    • @CzechRaiseCharles
      @CzechRaiseCharles  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ya I can agree there's definitely some soft play that exists. I wouldn't be surprised that there's collusion between some of the regs in the daily tourneys. A lot of people always seem to have a vested interest in one another. There's some soft play between some regs in the cash games but generally it's just a ok we'll check it down sort of thing. I'm not a fan of it but at the same time I don't mind it since it's usually two fun players who can't win anyway :) what's more funny to me is when a reg has this dynamic with one of the action players, if you're not going to play hard against them then why play at all 🤷🏼‍♂️ appreciate the love Rob!

      Ya not much to be done there less than 100 big blinds deep to start the hand. Guess I could have bet much smaller on turn and made a ridiculously exploitative fold to his check raise but that seems insane.

      Yea, chalk it up to variance.... Hit up Neeme and find out where he gets his vlog run good.

      Winners Tilt is some dangerous territory.
      He does have some combo gutters with that jack on the turn. Simply the J is always better for his range. Exploitative maybe. But could size differently or check turn. Especially if it’s LAST hand. I know ur response to last hand comment. Lol

      I've never studied much how a certain hand has historically done for me...although perhaps I should. I remember a long time ago there was this guy I played with who would write into a notepad every single hand he played and how much he won or lost with it in the position which he played it. I asked him oh wow so you find out anything useful? He goes yes of course! I asked him what...he told me I'd have to find out for myself 😔

    Hey man, so is that Ethereum address linked to Coinbase? If so you cant accept ERC-20 tokens to that address. You should make yourself a Myetherwallet which takes literally seconds to create and then you can accept ANY Ethereum based ERC-20 token such as OmiseGo, SingularDTV, EOS, SunContracts etc. There are so many cryptos that you can accept by using a private Ethereum wallet. Coinbase doesn't support tokens...

      Hey, so yes that address is for a coinbase wallet. You're right I should definitely post one that accepts ERC-20 tokens. I'll have to get around to doing that asap. Thanks!!

      Congratulations Matthew Bailey, you've won the $109 token! It should be credited to your account within the next day or two and then you can use it for this Sunday's tournament. Good luck 🍀

    Man... that's some awful .... "bad beat stories." That sounds like my games. I just dont understand how everybody gets there but me. If I had their hands, I miss. But, Im never in their shoes.

      You know what they say, if you're not sucking out too much then you probably aren't getting it in bad often enough 😜 I did realize at one point that it becomes a bit of confirmation bias. If you tend to be tight and try and not get your money in bad then you're way more likely to have the beats put on you rather than vice versa. Just the nature of the game...the math evens out sooner or later. Best of luck at the tables!
