Honestly I agreed, the micro magic is one of the most sensitive rods I have used. I wouldve made some content on their rods but I missed a few of their more recent releases and figured I'd wait until next time.
The spinning rod of 13 fission defy is great. Specially, with a Zahara Shimano spinning reel 3000. It is one of the best paired to me and I fish tournament level.
I would definitely say the defy, its a little cheaper but in my opinion their sensitivity is around the same. I'm also fairly picky about how comfortable the handle is on a rod and the defy black wins in that category as well. The handle is different than the fate and is more forgiving, the fate black is harder and less comfortable. If youre going for the looks though, fate black wins hands down.
I honestly love it for the money, I'm using it with fluoro and squarebills/spinner/chatterbaits. The amount of thumping you feel when using action baits is pretty insane
I was gonna ask how do you like the Medium defy Rod? I wanna use mine for cranks/Chatterbaits and spinners etc… how’s the action hood up against it I was in the store and tested it and I love how much bend it had

I have two medium heavy fast and heavy fast love the rods
They're very good rods for the money
I also really like duckett rods they are a little more expensive but the quality is absolutely amazing

Would you recommend the defy black in a spinning version? Was interested in it but have seen a lot of mixed reviews.

It’s unsanded not missing epoxy, a lot of companies do that

What caught me off guard was the feel of it. To me it personally felt a little sharp which I've never experienced on other blanks
