    I'm so sorry, Lisa. I will be praying for you and Peter and over your next IUI cycle. For God's peace and comfort to help you through it. And of course for it to be successful and for you to have a healthy pregnancy and baby.

      Yes, I used to only think I would share our journey when/if there was a positive pregnancy, because I felt like the only one facing what I was going through and was embarrassed by it.
      Now it’s part of my story and I hope by sharing all parts of life others can be encouraged ❤️

    Praying for you and Peter Lisa. The struggle is real in the 2 week wait! I hate taking pregnancy tests and yet at times I cant stop taking them convinced I see a line. Its so hard to wait on God at times, but i do know his timing is perfect. I look at back at how different our lives would be if God had answered our prayers for a baby in the past, and I know we would have missed out on so many other blessings and opportunities. So many kids you have fostered would have maybe never experienced the love of Jesus extended through you both if he had said yes right away. You are a mom regardless of what happens! An amazing mom at that! I dont foster, but i have worked in schools, daycare, and now I am a nanny, and i am thankful to have "mothered" so many little ones over the years. It doesnt fill the hole in your heart though of desiring your own so i am praying God answers your prayers for a baby.🙏💜

    Hey Praying for you! You are 100% correct it’s up to our loving Lord but Something that I was blessed to have on my TTC journey was prometrium ask your provider about getting 100-200mg of that medication, it’s the most natural form of progesterone so it supports your luteal phase length and can sometimes help prevent early loss if you do end up conceiving, especially if you know you have low progesterone levels naturally. You take this med from typically 3dpo (days past ovulation) up until a HCG blood test or home urine test is done to see if it worked. If it didn't you get off the medication and bleeding starts in 3-7 days depending on each individual body. If you do conceive you stay on that med until 12 weeks of gestation and I find it helps give your body a boost and helps your chances with building a thicker uterine lining. I’m not a doctor so as always ask your doctor but I definitely think it might be worth bringing up to your provider going into this next cycle. Best wishes and God bless! 🙏

    My husband and I were in a similar boat, where we had decided 3-4 cycles of IUI was as far as we were personally willing to go. Ultimately, no matter the outcome, God is in control and His plan is perfect! In our case, we did a number of timed cycles on clomid, then some on letrozole, then four IUI cycles with letrozole and a trigger shot. Those all ended up being unsuccessful, and the doctors were unable to explain why, as everything seemed to be going exactly as it should... but now, I firmly believe it was because God was making sure we were in the right place to adopt our beautiful baby girl this past summer! She's everything we could have ever asked for, and more. I truly believe everything came together exactly as it needed to, for her to be part of our family.
    I don't know what the outcome of your IUI cycles will be, but I'll be praying for you and hoping for a successful pregnancy! I believe God has the perfect plan for you, Peter, and your family. It's just so hard, when we don't yet know what that plan is!

    Thank you got sharing your process with all of us. Infertility is just so hard... So mentally draining! We struggled for years with pcos, finally got pregnant on clomid and letrozole and then had a stillbirth in December last year. Took meds again and miscarried in June. It's so hard to try and try and have loss after loss. I really hope you get your positive pregnancy test soon and have a healthy pregnancy!

    The Lord has good plans for you! After a few years of TTC, 2 miscarriages, 1 chemical pregnancy, a PCOS diagnosis, fertility specialist visits, and surgery to take out an ovarian cyst, and learning I had endometriosis bc of the surgery (Endo without the common symptoms)... The Lord did choose to bless us naturally with a baby girl ❤️ I did take D.I.M. to help balance out my estrogen (based off a hunch I had, not Dr prescribed) Praying the Lord gives you strength on your special journey to glorify Him!

    Erik, and I are praying for you. We're also doing IUI. I noticed the last time I did the meds it really through my bodies cycles off a bit. I don't know if it's all the hormones, and emotions. It can also be because I'm getting older. Praying for ya'll! ❤

    • @HappyHoppe

      Yeah, and I did ovulate earlier than normal that cycle (cycle day 11 is when I triggered ovulation instead of my body’s normal cycle day 14)

    I'll keep praying for the next one to be successful❤
    Also, I know you said you guys agreed on 3 cycles, but just wanted to share a couple of things to consider. I recently watched a fertility doctor's video where he said that the chances of IUI success does not actually decrease significantly after 3 cycles, like most doctors will say. (I can add the link If you're curious). My doctor told me "if it's going to be successful, it would happen in 3-4 months", but then they also said that we can "reassess" the plan after 3 months. Meaning they would atleast change up the medication if i continued to refuse IVF. I don't know if this applies to letrozole, but with clomid, the cycle day they tell you to start can affect how many follicles will mature that cycle. I had 1 egg on the cycle that we did clomid starting CD5, but then I got 2-3 when we started on CD4 the following cycle. I think of that like getting 2-3 tries in the same month! Also, they are very cautious at first to not make your medication dose too high to avoid a multiple pregnancy, but if their plan doesn't work after 2-3 cycles, then they may be willing to up your dosage, or switch to injectables.
    I was going back and forth on posting this comment or not because I know all the unsolicited advice handed out during ttc/fertility treatments gets annoying, but sometimes I think docs don't share every detail and so I wanted to make sure you knew that you can push for a medication change if you feel like you need to.

    • @HappyHoppe
      @HappyHoppe  วันที่ผ่านมา +2

      Thank you!! Yes, my doctor has changed my meds for a higher dose to give my body a good chance.
      We communicated with our doctor ahead of time, we only want to try 3x, so I’m thankful he is listening to us & trying something different each time.
      And I know we could try more times, but mentally, emotionally, financially and time-wise, three is our limit 😆
