I was told 6023 was Possibly going to do a main line test run between Didcot GWS to Bristol to see if it`s good enough on the 22nd this month or somewhere this year. So will it happen and when?
There were rumours at the start of the year that after the Severn Valley Railway visit that she would do some test runs for the mainline, however the Didcot Railway Centre decided to postpone the plans and have her running on heritage railways only. The reason is to get some income for the next overhaul when her boiler certificate expires in 2020. After the overhaul, then will see her out and about on the mainline where she finally belongs.
Oh ok, so when is for return after overhaul? and after her overhaul a 'Blue King' back on the main line fully since the 1960`s. If possible there could be both Kings on the network which would be nice to see.
Thanks for the comment mate. All I know is that after this run she'll be heading of to the Dartmouth Steam Railway in mid week to run services over the summer period. But whether she'll be back at Didcot afterwards or they'll find a temporary home for her before her boiler certificate runs out is anyone's guess.
