Luck be a Landlord is a roguelike drafting game / deckbuilder about using a slot machine to earn rent money and defeat capitalism. This game does not contain any real-world currency gambling or microtransactions.

I am a bit sad that once you beat the landlord, Endless mode just becomes "spin as many times as you want"
There's a hidden mode you can activate from the main menu that returns the post-game to what it was in early access instead of this "free spin" mode it is now.

It seems a bit pointless to me, and I usually don’t watch the parts after the boss on these videos, even if the build from the thumbnail only happens then. Imagine playing Isaac and in the end you just get free chests with no enemies or hazards but you can be SO POWERFUL.

The landlord adds rules whenever he drops below a health threshold (something like every 250 health?). Because you did like a billion jillion damage in one spin, and had the 2x rules modifier, he dropped some really chunky terms and conditions on you!
It's actually every 10% health.
Something about this run was more satisfying than normal. I think it was the crazy timing you called all the deaths and then the pivot joy to Midas like in the demo days.
27:57 From the look of it, I think the happy ending for this build would be to have 19 king Midas’s, always enable coin string, and the remaining space is always occupied by a newly created coin that is buffed by every king on the board.
What’s noteworthy is that we don’t even have to disable the coin string at all, since it can’t touch a newly created coin.

This was a fantastic run. The builds I had before with this style were a bunch of curse of midas and king midas with either coin on a string or pirate. But meh, I know that you know videogames more than I
The usual problems happen, too many coins, not enough pirate lol
oh I know there is technically a better "value" way to play this run, but this is the _board_ that I wanted to see.

Hex of destruction can destroy duds!! I'm a sucker for a hex and I've gotten some insane early game dud removals

Maybe think about a tiny bit of modded. Maybe after you have your build to make it a streamlined.
Sad that the void portal is 'destroy' and coin on a sting is 'remove' could get a scaling 20 a spin if it worked as destroy

10 games in 😅 doing a sun rain flower kinda build and as I'm getting to the last round I was surprised I won and thought I had 24 coins left for infinity mode turns out that was 2.4e4 wtf number is that?
Wouldn’t a pirate go well with this build? I could be wrong but I thought he collected coins
as mentioned in another comment, it scales well in a flat way which would be good for winning pre-landlord, but ultimately worse for infinite scaling in endless due to not having a symbol that 2x/3x/5x's it. Not to mention it just wasn't what I wanted to do today.

@@Retromation A huge flat amount then sets the base for copycat or wildcard scaling, or simple arrows.
Sure but I'd hardly consider those builds a Midas or even Pirate build at that point. They're just a Wild build that could work with literally anything.

Interestingly enough, I was able to beat Floor 15 with just _ONE_ King Midas. (Although I got really lucky and found that fairly early.) And then I kept going and ended up getting thirteen of them before the *Guillotine Essence* came down and put my run out of its misery.
