How should I do the process of cloning as I haven't actually made partions in my drive, it is only C and it is now full... Can I just clone system files? Or should I just uninstall windows and boot from a pendrive into the SSD? (I want to put a 256gb ssd)
Your video has been really helpful. Thanks. Just one question, how long was the cloning process? (How many GB did you clone and how many hour did it take)
Enrique Arcos Pacheco Wow, thank you. The cloning process takes only less than an hour lets say 40minutes for 35GB of used space in local disk c of HDD.
@@techph7854 thanks for the aswer!! You think that the ssd Asgard AN3 will work? its NVME and PCIe, but i havent seen anyone trying to use it on the legion y530.
@@slavo_mir make sure you choose nvme cause I tried sata m. 2 and it does not work. Sometimes its normal for a pc or laptop that m. 2 will not detect in bios and will only detect when you plug windows OS or usbboot
@@techph7854 that's exactly what happened to me :) bought a 500gb m.2 sata ssd, had luck they gave me a refund at the shop :) The laptop manual doesn't specify if you need a sata or nvme. Luck we have TH-cam guides :)

@@tosukenZ hey, i just used a bootable pendrive
Thanks for this amazing video, helped me a lot, but if you have a version with Optaine SSD, please make a video about it
Buen video, solo le falto terminar el bios para iniciar con SSD, y medir los tiempos de respuesta al inicio de Windows.
If i cloned the windows to the new nvme , should i also move the games from hdd to it to get better performance?
Sure
hey the model with intel optane can be upgraded to an SSD as well?
Yes you can i upgraded mine

Which ssd did u used?
Bernardo I used Eaget 120GB M.2 NVME SSD because I got it for free. You can use any of this NVME SSD WD,Samsung,Kingston,Sandisk,Intel.

Bernardo I believe it will work although the brand is not that known just like Eaget in this video. Good Luck
is it true that the OS installer/ bios won’t detect an ssd bigger than 250gb?
Slavomir Kristof I don't think it's true, I have tried wd black nvme 500gb m. 2 and it works just fine.
