Yep been through deliverance as a Christian I had childhood trauma so bad it was causing me to go in state of panic constantly. The Lord delivered me and healed me from trauma, anxiety, panic attacks, anger, etc. I’ve been set free for a year I truly feel set free just like what the scripture says. You just described what happened to me by a grandparent I truly believe it was demonic depression, possession, call It whatever you want, but I know I had demons in the form of mental health and addiction. I never had the trauma transfer, as you call it. Quite the opposite. I became completely overprotective over every kid I've ever met, not wanting the same thing to happen to them that happened to me. Suspecting nearly everybody, every adult in their life. Until Jesus freed me.
My friend, who played a significant role in guiding me to Christ, experienced full demonic possession a few years before my salvation. He describes the experience as feeling like he was in a bubble, completely unaware of what his body was doing. His brother, who was in ministry and cast the demon out, witnessed his eyes rolling back and heard him speaking with what sounded like a multitude of voices. I have no reason to doubt his account, and this experience is a reminder for me to avoid occult practices, like Ouija boards, Mediums, or anything else the Bible warns about. Many times God has his commandments to protect us from harm. Follow Christ, repent and be saved.
My daughter is in this state right now. Shes schizophrenic, she was baptized earlier this year, but my pastor knows nothing of deliverance ministry, so I didnt either. Through the journey to get her care, I discovered Christians who taught me some about this. Im praying that the right people come into contact with her, and help her. She has great sexual, and emotional trauma from her dad, that's starting to bubble up. Please pray for both of us.
As we are re-reading Jonathan Cahn's 2022: "The Return Of The Gods" we see the intense 6000 year old battle of hasatan attempting to thwart, subjugate, defy and destroy the people of YHWH whom He YHWH created in His Own Image. For this, our Savior and Messiah Yahshua came with the command of all who would follow Him to repent of sin, heal the sick, raise the dead, cast out demons, cleanse the leper. HE NEVER CHANGES! By His stripes, we are healed. By His stripes, we were healed. IT IS FINISHED He cried! And, He will return soon to gather all who long for and who love His appearing.

Why does your scripture reference not include FASTING? When the disciples asked Jesus why they couldn't cast the demons out, His reply was..."this Kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and Fasting." Fasting is Key to many being delivered. I know you know this, just not sure why it was not there? Fasting is a huge weapon we as Christians need to use in spiritual warfare
Yes...read Matthew 12:43-45 If we are not filled with the Holy Spirit, then other Spirits will move in. Now, even as a Christian we can be oppressed, I like to use the word Demonized, it's a better translation. Demons do not leave us alone just because we're saved, this is why we need to continually have our mind set on God...scripture is so clear on this. I myself was delivered...it's all very very real.
"Retake a person years later" Yes if there is a legal right for a demon to do so. Matthew 12:29 We need to make Jesus the strongman in our house/temple. Because if we don't the demon will return with other spirits more wicked than itself and we'll be worse off than before. Matthew 12:43-45
When you pray keep God in remembrance of His word (Isa 43:26). Come into agreement with His word where it says in Hebrews 12:24 "the sprinkled blood that speaks better things than that of Abel" that by the blood of Jesus you are set free from all demonic coveants, generational curses, possession and oppression in Jesus name.
Yes of course Jesus (God) delivers people today. It normally happens when a person is spiritually regenerated and born again. It's definitely not in these recent deliverance ministries and fake pastors. However, a person who is saved can allow themselves to be oppressed by the devil if they fall into continued willful sin again and the symptoms are very similar to possession, but not exactly the same. That is why a lot of Christians go back again and again and again to these bogus deliverance people thinking a little therapy session sets them free every time. This is not to say, either, that people that do those deliverances are all bogus. Some are just deceived themselves. All you need to be delivered is regular Bible reading, prayer, Christian company, and avoiding sin. And you need to do those things for a sustained period of time. An unbeliever, on the other hand, is a different story.

It makes them feel pain it seems, but definitely leave the area. True power and glory belongs to Christ.
