As a non- wealthy flier with a preference for BC, I trust and rely on all of Dennis's reviews to find the best bang for my hard earned buck.Always look forward to his posts. Cheers
I flew Perth to Heathrow business class with Oman last year. They don't fly to Australia so flew Malaysian to KL then onto Muscat then Heathrow. Such a great airline and great service and sooooo comfortable. Would do definately fly with them again.
My wife and I are booked to fly with Oman on that route, seats 11a+b in September, can’t wait. We’re also flying Thai to get there, so your last two videos have been great content for us!
I got to know Dennis Bunnik’s channel while researching my first business-class emirates flight. I was so excited, I wanted to know every painstakingly small detail. Now, years later, flying has become a commodity for me, but I still can’t resist watching these videos. Keep ‘em up!
The food stunned me . The fish you had with roasted pine nuts, looked, and probably tasted sensational. Dining on demand is essential on long haul, because you never really know when you are going to be sleepy. Generally I use the full meal service to send me to sleep. You are right, the IFE looked very frustrating. Thanks again Dennis for a great video.
Flew Oman a number of times in J, and it's easily one of my favorites. As with your review, the hard and soft product is great, and the prices can be head for significantly cheaper than other airlines, and their direct ME3 competitors. I highly recommend it, but they still don't get much love purely due to to the mainstream ME3 carriers.
Having flown many airlines from 1970 to 2000 I have been flying Emirates business class for about 20 years. Having only recently found your channel I am inspired to try other airlines again. Many thanks.
Thank you Dennis, a great review of an outstanding airline with a growing global network and world recognition of an award winning business class, customer experience and airline lounges. 🇴🇲
These Apex Business Class suites are also on Gulf Air, Korean Air, and JAL off the top of my head. Had the chance to fly Omanair at the pleb-end recently... would like to try them out again at the pointy end... also look forward to them being part of oneworld sometime in 2024 after Qatar Airways announced sponsorship of their ascension...
I would definitely love to fly Oman Air 🇴🇲 someday! That Business Class seat just looks incredible and the food looked sensational! Yum 🤤 Great video as always Dennis! Cheers 🥂 Wishing You Blue Skies & Tailwinds Caleb’s Aviation
From what I've heard: a.) They're quite heavy meaning more fuel burn for airlines, and b.) The space utilization is good, but not the best. JAL, Korean Air, and Oman Air all only have 24 of these seats between doors 1 and 2 whereas other airlines using reverse herringbone or staggered seats can get at least 28 seats in the same space (United manages 32!)
Always great to see your reports and I am looking forward to more this year. Oman looks like a good airline to travel with. Hope you get chance to try out their first class at sometime
I flew with them for the first time from Delhi to Muscat a couple of months ago - different plane (A330) but equally good. Service, food and drink were just superb. I'll be flying with them again soon.
The Japanese airlines have a bidet function…👌🏻Great Vid as always, realy smart looking product & service & I am a fan of the Apex Suites, especially when you always like a window seat & also sit next to someone you want to
Having just done a long haul with Air NZ in business class I agree completely with your comments about it. Made me appreciate the QF 747 business class. But Oman Air looks so much better, looking forward to trying it.
Never flown them, but this week I flew klm from joburg back to Amsterdam, great flight, only downside was the business lounge at Amsterdam, very impersonal and waaay too big so no quiet place. But we tried klm on your review, glad we did. Great flight and great service but the set up between seats is awful, screen between the seats was fixed, as I was flying with husband in the next seat each time I wanted to talk to him I had to lean round it, hopeless. However it meant we didn’t have a longer trip home via LHR. Short hop from AMS to Bristol, much easier. Love these reviews. Next for me is united to the USA. Have to check your review for them. Thanks Dennis.
Used ,to live in Oman!, when you board the internal flight from Muscat to Salahla the flight attendants collect the kunjars ( large dagger for formal dress ) to be put in a lock box for the flight.
Nice one, Dennis. I always look forward to a DB video popping into my notifications. Entertaining, succinct, all the relevant information. Great stuff.
I seemed to remember one of you fellow airline travel reviewers did a flight on Oman Air and liked it as well. Very underrated. Also I would say that other big airlines that have mediocre business class (but outstanding first class) should look at using business class seats like this! I'm looking at you BA and Lufthansa (especially 747 upper deck business) !! Thanks Dennis, enjoy Muscat!
I just discovered your vlogs and I want to thank you for sharing your travels. I an from Tucson, Arizona and have visited Australia 5 times and have plans for more visits. Again, thank you for sharing your adventures.
Flew Oman on the LHR-MCT-LHR routing a few years ago Dennis…loved it as well. One of my top three “boutique” airlines along with Austrian and ANZ! Keep up the great work! Cheers mate!
Some very good design in the seat layout Looking forward to my first flight in years, even if it's only short, Brisbane to Sydney for the fully charged show in a few weeks
Nice presentation as usual Have never flown Oman air as far as I can remember. Looks like an interesting option when we move between Sweden and Thailand Would like to show the wife Oman (we can make a longer stop over). But now for next year, Qatar airways has given us a promotion option that we can't refuse (perhaps because I flew with them "quite a lot" in my business trips over the years), in any case I hope you have a nice time in Muscat. There is much to explore in the city and its surroundings.
Fantastic vlog as always Dennis. I was in that Oman Air lounge on Dec 11 (Priority Pass access), then also departed from gate E7 (AC66 to YVR)! I hope to eventually bump into you somewhere and say "hi".
Great vlog as usual. Sad to say not for me I don't like the 2/2/2/ seating setup. I would have expected at least 1/2/1. The food looked good, but it doesn't make up for the bad seating.
Hi Dennis, hope Oman did not disappoint. What an interesting innovation on this flight which I wish would be introduced by all long distance carriers to and from Australia.... a bidet. Surely not a novelty, but boy think of the comfort during most of our 14+ hours flights ex Melbourne
I used Oman business class a few times in 2019 and found it to be great (the BC lounges at Muscat are good, too). I also liked the seat layout and design and thought other airlines would do well to copy it. One small thing I noticed - the dates used to be served from a fancy wooden presentation case with tongs rather than wrapped in plastic. A post-covid change I guess?
I’ve flown Oman business on several flight and have found them the best over all and much less expensive than most. Just wish they would fly direct from Muscat too Melbourne.
Thank you for the report. I also had a good experience with Oman Airlines. Top service..good food.. Perfect seats for long haul flights. I hope to see Oman Airlines in Zürich again soon. Would book again anytime. P.S. The lounges are not overcrowded like some other airlines from the Arab region.
....another great review, Dennis. Taking photos of your meal selections was a nice touch, which I wish other vloggers would do the same. I find it revolting when they point their cameras at their faces while shoveling food in their mouths. 🙂

My experience too. The Omani people are wonderful. No arrogance or attitude, totally low key and genuine. I would avoid travelling there in summer though. Mid 40s is a bit much. And when you feel the heat radiating from the plane window, you really do feel like a leg of lamb in a fan oven!
Well my wife is grumpy with me but hearing that tune makes everything better... Looking forward to spending the next 10 minutes with Dennis ! English men and Australian men unite ... what's a bit of cricket between friends ?
Good Video Dennis. I flew oman air 3 years ago in the old Business class, which is very spacious and a 1-2-1 configuration. But as always said, it depends on the crew!! And my crew was not very nice oder busy, I thought, they ignore me as female traveller, travelling alone. And I had no chance to get entrance in the lounge. So, the hard product was very good, but the crew and the kindness are missing... But I´m looking forward to your next video! 😀👍
That's such a pity - I agree the crew make all the difference. The crew on my flight out of Oman was even better than the flight in - friendly and chatting with passengers. Maybe after covid they have a new appreciation of their jobs or the grumpy ones have all left.
I spotted some Amouage toiletries in the bathroom. Wow! (It's an expensive Omani fragrance house.) If you like the look of the food, go to Bait Al Luban (House of Frankincense) restaurant in Muscat. I've only flown with them once in Business, but many times in Economy. it's good, too and the entertainment system is easier to use! They code-share to Australia with Malaysian via KL. I much prefer that to using Etihad, Emirates or Qatar. It's much more relaxing. Muscat Airport's nice as well. A stay in Oman Dec-Feb would be the cherry on top of the cake.

We love Oman Air but we don’t love their Thai or Malaysian codeshare partners. Punters are best to check who their partner airline is when they book long haul. From London to Australia they have better partner options xx
Hi Dennis, I’m glad that you had a great flight on Oman Air. But for me, the lack of individual air vents is an absolute non-starter. Indeed, another reviewer recently commented on this, stating that in addition to no air vents, the cabin was stiflingly hot. For me, this alone makes for a miserable flight and is why I book away from them. I’m adding Oman to the “do not fly list”, joining Korean and some other Asian airlines .
Interestingly enough on my flight from Oman to Kuala Lumpur the cabin was so cold myself and a couple of other passengers asked for the air-con to be adjusted.
@@DennisBunnikTravels Thanks for the update! It always mystifies me why some Asian carriers, notably Korean Air, didn’t opt for individual air vents when ordering their aircraft, but then compound the problem by keeping their cabins in the 27-28 degree range. Even though KAL is the fastest option between my home bases of Chiang Mai and Chicago, I’d rather connect through BKK to an airline supplies air vents.
The Japanese airlines usually are equipped with automatic bidet, which in my opinion, is a cool thing on planes that the other airlines should follow suit.

I've often wondered why these seats are not more popular. They're basically the perfect blend of passenger comfort + space utilization for airlines.
I agree. BA should have went for these seats going from their 2-4-2 club world seats on their a380/ retired 747’s.
I've never flown these seats, but at first glance I can see how it may get clausterphobic for some folks.
@@NevG27 its actually quite spacious than you think.
They are excellent. Experienced them many times with both Oman and Gulf.
