Looking forward to seeing your craft room makeover. 🙂As for the blanket - if you feel it will add extra pressure, leave it for now … however if you feel it will help you relax, then go for it. 😊 Take care x
Hold off on the nature blanket! You have a lot of things planned to do, destashing, monkey making, shawl making, the dresser and then there is your journaling. Let us not forget about your shop. Slow down please! You have plenty of time for all of it. ❤😊
Whay a sweet self care gift basket your friend made for you. Now that is a pretty dresser and practical too, I see why you choose it, it is very pretty, yeah it needs some work but worth the wait and trouble. Such a cute gift from your friend, so cute mushroom with a surprise worry doll with a long felt poem attached. Ouch that is a lot of money. I would say you can still do the nature walk later, maybe you get lucky and get a discount on the kit, or the yarn goes on sale making it way cheaper. But I think you will at the moment be happier with the blossom one you already have everything and don't need to spend on it and it is cheery. It is definitely one to keep your interest. I have ADHD and I know all about the losing interest if it gets too repetitive, it is why I rarely do such patterns as written.
I’m so very lucky to have so many wonderful friends n my phone. Sometime social media can be a wonderful thing. Yes it is a lot of money and I have decided to hold off. I’ve had such great advice from everyone and your all right. It’s a big undertaking and with my current line of wips and having a big change in my craft room I think it needs to be put on hold.
Hi Jeanette, lovely podcast as always. You keep it real! Go for the Nature’s walk blanket, your face lights up when you talk about it 😊 As other commenters have said, life is short…….go for it ❤
Jeanette enjoyed your part 2 , I would do the one you’ve got the wool for and then once you have finished and still want to make the natures walk then you commit to the £100 for the wool , but it’s totally your call ,and what you want to make , you do you craft is a very personal thing , if you don’t enjoy what you are doing then it’s never going to get done. The chimp is going to look great .❤ looking forward to seeing you in your next podcast .
You need to make what makes you a happy crafter. You could always start the circles as you have the yarn and if you don’t feel it just stop, no money spent no feeling bad xxx
If you treat yourself to the Nature walk pack you can always use the yarn for something if you don't manage the blanket...which I'm sure you will. I saw Paula from Mrs D had done the Jon shawl and I so want to make it but.....I have so many shawls and scarves I have made including 2 on the needles. So I am sleeping on it and change my mind every day x
You could just work on as you wish to!!! It would be beautiful and if it pleases you go for it!!! Just work on it at your leisure!!! Yarns make us happy and making things make us happy!!! As always Jeanette, I absolutely love your videos and your makes…thank you for sharing your life with us!!!
Hi, I agree with the other ladies, do the one you have yarn for and treat yourself to the Nature's Walk yarn when your room is finished. I had to laugh out loud when you showed us the book ! I love all your makes, looking forward to seeing the finished fairy. Another lovely episode ( or 2) ,thank you 😀
Jeanette you are so welcome for your gifts my love, it was really good to be together again. Looking forward to BLACKPOOL!!! Do both of the blankets, start the one you have the yarn for in your stash. Treat yourself to the other one, as you have been wanting to do it for so long, and choose a day each week and make one or two or more if you like. They will soon grow over the month xxx I just adore your fairy, you are so talented xx
Hi Jeanette I think you would feel better doing the blanket you already have wool for at the moment then spending the £100 one later when you have finished your refurbishment. I’m on ‘no buy 25’ I’m trying to use what I have already then will feel better when I do spend something.xx
What I would do is the circles blanket since you have the yarn. I also would like to do the Natures Walk blanket but I consider using the yarn suggested, rather expensive so I would much sooner use what I have in stash.
Don’t start Natures Walk until your craft room is done and dusted! You will only stress yourself out. You have yarn so use that first and that’s my humble opinion and you did ask! Your projects are coming along beautifully especially the fairy. Just enjoy what you are doing for now and take care x
Lovely podcast again Jeanette. I’m just the same as you , if I get something in my head that I want it’s no use trying to talk myself out of it cos I know in the end I will get it . I just think at my age now , ( won’t say how old I’m going to be this year but nearly coming up to another big birthday lol ) why not I’ve worked all my life and now it’s my turn to do whatever makes me happy . If you can afford it do it , life’s too short not to do what makes you happy. I’m sure you will make the decision that is right for you . Thing is about blankets, I like to do them on an evening when I’m relaxing watching the tv , and I do all my other crafting in the daytime. Which believe me is endless , I just love any craft there is lol . Take care Jeanette and don’t stress yourself 🥰x
Hi Jeanette, thanks for the double episode - part 2 was a delightful bonus. I read recently, I promise I didn’t make it up, that the creative mind is happiest when it has many projects on the go at the same time! I definitely favour that view. Just be happy being creative x
Hi Jeanette I would buy the pack and do the nature’s walk blanket, I made it a while ago but used wool from my stash and was a bit disappointed that I didn’t get the colour pack…as you said if you’re putting all that work into something it’s worth using the correct yarn and colour 😊 If it gives you pleasure it’s worth it ❤
Jeanette, I believe you will be overstretching yourself, perhaps you could schedule it for next autumn, as you have wanted to do it for 2 or3 years another few months and the project will still be available. It would be a shame to restash before your room is finished. Unfinished projects especially from lack of time do cause stress you don’t need. I always think about the future me, always playing catchup because I have over overstretched myself. Love your channel. ❤
Do the one you have yarn for now. Tell yourself you will do Natures Walk next year. It sounds like life is challenging right now and you will enjoy it more later when things are more calm and relaxed !
I think with all your hard work destashing, you might feel happier making the blanket with the yarn you already have and then maybe you could treat yourself to the nature’s walk pack after. It is a hard though when you want to make all of the things! I can completely relate. It doesn’t matter how many hours we have to craft, it would never be enough! 🤭
Jeanette , you could make the one you have the yarn for . That way you have time to finish your room and you don't have to stress , the monkey and the scarf are going to be beautiful ❤
Love the sparkly nails 😍 If that blanket involves sewing millions of squares together, I would say forget it 🤣 I've still not sewn the 9 patch together because I can't stand the sewing part. Didn't you have your heart set on a Janie Crow blanket? Anyway do what makes you happy darling ❤
I’ve made the ‘Nature’s Walk’ blanket and it’s lovely. I’d say ‘go for it’! After all, you use Scheepjes Stone Washed a lot, so if for any reason it doesn’t work out you will always have other projects to use the yarn for. If I can make it, I have every confidence you can! (I made it as part of a CAL in 2019 and it took me just under two months to complete.) Xx
You cheer me up so much thank you. You enjoy doing all the things I do. I bought a Welsh dresser from a charity shop and painted it in chalk paint and pretty flower handles. It is beautiful and it’s in my dinning room. I love it. Took me ages but was worth the wait.xx
I have made all of the squares for Nature’s walk back during the CAL with Sandra. I have been crocheting for over 45 years, but feel intimidated by the border, so the project just sits. I bought the kit from the UK in the pinks and purples. So beautiful and fun to make the squares!
I have had the yarn and pattern for Nature's Walk blanket for a couple of years but haven't got around to starting it yet as I have been working on so many other projects. Do whichever one you think you prefer. In the end, it is your choice so go with your gut instinct. Whatever you do first, enjoy!! We will love watching. x
Don't buy any yarn (or patterns), just work from your stash. That way, you are even more de-stashing. I think at the moment getting more space in your room will give you more space in you head. Crafting should be about enjoying yourself and having fun making things, and to me it seams, you are stressing yourself out. Have a nice week 🥰
Jeanette I like the water bottle cover a lot. Colors are nice . Your dilemma about the blankets is one I have had many times. You will decide eventually. A lovely podcast.
I agree with the other ladies, do the one you already have the yarn for and then the Natures walk when your craft room Is done x By the way do you remember Emile Ford and the Checkmates with a song called “ what do you want to make those eyes at me for “ in 1959 !!
I do feel the natures walk blanket is not the right timing for you with everything else you want to do. I see where you are coming from. I suffer from a little FOMO but am learning I can’t do everything cos it just builds up my stress levels too much. Hopefully you can come to the right decision for you xx
I think if you've waited this long for the nature walk blanket, waiting a bit longer might be smart as it will get put away once the decorating starts. If you have the yarn for the blossoms, start with that. Then when your room is calm and crojo is back, you may enjoy it more in your new space.😊😊😊good luck!! But always do what makes you happy
Just have to say, I love your fairy! Can't wait to see how you dress her; all of her details are just too much fun. As for which blanket, do what your enjoy. You can always do a bit of each using the yarns that you have to see how you like the pattern. Well, either way I hope that you have a lovely weekend! 😊
Hi Jeanette Perhaps you could do the blanket you have the yarn for now. Then, when your craft room is newly decorated and as you want it, you can start the Nature's Walk to celebrate your posh new room 😊. Have a lovely weekend xxx
Stephen west has amazing videos on youtube for lots of his technique. Ive used lots of them for his patterns and they are great, although i often have to rip out and try again third times usually the charm for me . Good luck 😊
I would wait to after the craft room is finished. You're working so hard to destash. Do the ones you have the yarn for now, then treat yourself to the Natures Walk yarn when you have your room done. I know FOMO is real, but the yarn pack is such a great reward.
I think I would start on the Macaroon blanket. If you’re still thinking and dreaming of the Nature’s Walk blanket then I’d switch to that. Both are beautiful and you can’t go wrong whatever you decide.
Hi Jeanette lovely vlog as usual. Rachel and I think you should do the one you have the yarn for first. Then do the natures walk one. Maybe you could set aside some time to work on them in between your other makes. Ann from toby knits does that sort of thing with her wips hope this helps with your decision. Have a good weekend and week xx
I would say ref the Nature's Walk don't buy the pack - buy a couple of balls and try it out - less expense and batch numbers won't matter as any differences won't be side by side - by that time you will know if you want to carry on? :) xxxxxx
I say make the blanket you want to make! It doesn't matter if it takes you a long time or not. If it makes your heart sing, you should buy the yarn and make a start. Don't forget to show us all, though! I love your dresser too ❤
Greetings Jeanette….sometimes doing a project with the company of another gives us the momentum we need to carry on. Even if it isn’t in person. It sounds like you’d very much like to do the nature blanket & I'm sure we’d all enjoy seeing your progress plus encourage you through comments. I think your excitement about it says a lot! Whatever you decide…enjoy!
Your gifts and makes are lovely, with regard to which blanket to make, I think I would do the Janie Crow Spirit of Flora since you have already purchased the kit and treat yourself to the other one when your craft room is newly decorated. (I am not good at sticking to plans though!)
I would do the one I already have the yarn for. I also would save an amount that I choose ahead of time with every goal met in this blanket and other makes until I get the £100.
Hi Jeanette, I'm not a knitter. I only started learning in December 2024. I've been a crocheter for 47 years. I was pondering your hot water bottle. Is it possible that it's loose by design so that when the bottle is full of hot water, it takes up the slack without distorting the pattern? I love the bags you make. I wish I'd learned to sew and knit when my Mom was alive to teach me. Hindsight is always 20/20, though. Have a great weekend. Cheers from Wendi in Ottawa, Canada 🇨🇦
I would use what you have, as you may buy all your yarn start decorating your room and forget about it. It would be a nice treat to get for yourself when you have your new craft room. Also Stephen west patterns are great, he has videos on you tube for the I cord edging, he is a good teacher.
Hi Jeanette I did wonder why it just cut off 💓 thankyou for the mention and posting my channel details on your description box 🥰 I love that pizza fabric xxx 😍
I’ve just finished the glow hair cowl, using one skein held with Suri Alpaca. It’s a lovely simple pattern with YO Stephen has a video to guide you with the shawlette If it were me I’d put aside the £100 until you’re less undecided. Start the pattern with the yarn you have see how you feel giving long term commitment to a big project. Carry on with the little instant gratification toys they’re so cute☺️
I finished the Nature's Walk in a few months - the squares are quite easy. I just took my time and worked on other projects at the same time. I used both the free patterns from Cherry Heart (Sandra Paul) and the extra paid for patterns. I worked on them when I was in the mood. I admit, I didn't complete Sandra's border - instead I did a simpler one. I am in the US - I used Lion Brand Coboo (cotton and rayon blend). It's inexpensive with a nice, light drape. It is splitty. Start by using one of the free patterns and make up a square. I think you'll like it.
Jeanette this is your hobby, do what makes you happy. Just having to ask us what we would do makes me think you’re very undecided about buying the kit and that’s not making you happy. Why not start what you’ve already got and see how it goes? Lovely podcast ❤
Do both as long term ones if you feel you can but you could also find out if any of the yarn you need is on offer and get the balls separately if it works out cheaper 🤷 xxx
I watched Gary from Urban Yarn he made the Nature's Walk blanket it's beautiful then I watched Natasha and thought I would love to do it but like you I want to do it in the scheepjes yarn which would cost allot here in the US so what I think I will do is download the pattern which is free and make a square or two out of my stash to see if it's something I would enjoy 😊
I made the rhinoceros and now I’m making the mouse. I have both of her books. Gorgeous patterns. I don’t like sewing seams so I watched Linda Eds you tube channel and she shows how to do the knitted animals in the round and I love love it. I hope you enjoy it
@ I initially made it in the Bellisima colours, I made a full size one and a baby size with one of each of the squares, including the bonus squares. I ended up buying the Scheepjes yarn and working my way through it for a blanket for myself. I can definitely recommend it. This is first crochet along which had me hooked 😊
Girl, you said this was the year for toys. Here we are at the very beginning of February and you are talking about a blanket. But, who am I to speak. I have multiple projects going. Including 3 blankets.
I made the rhinoceros and now I’m making the mouse. I have both of her books. Gorgeous patterns. I don’t like sewing seams so I watched Linda Eds you tube channel and she shows how to do the knitted animals in the round and I love love it. I hope you enjoy it
Looking forward to seeing your craft room makeover. 🙂As for the blanket - if you feel it will add extra pressure, leave it for now … however if you feel it will help you relax, then go for it. 😊 Take care x
ooohhh, I'm loving those blankets too. Feeling tempted.
Hold off on the nature blanket! You have a lot of things planned to do, destashing, monkey making, shawl making, the dresser and then there is your journaling. Let us not forget about your shop. Slow down please! You have plenty of time for all of it. ❤😊
This is why I love everyone’s advice. You make me see sense.
Thank you. Xxxx
Hi Jeanette make both blankets may be work on them alternate weeks xx
❤❤❤whatever makes you creative and happiest,,,,🎉🎉
Love ur cheery vlogs ,,,Jeanette,,
Need them,,,this winter,,,
Take care
Elaine 🏠⛄
Thank you so much Elaine. Xxx
Hi Jeanette, lovely podcast as always. You keep it real! Go for the Nature’s walk blanket, your face lights up when you talk about it 😊 As other commenters have said, life is short…….go for it ❤
I’m so pleased you enjoy my videos, it really does make me happy. Thanks for your advise regarding blanket. I’ve still to decide. Xxx
Yes I saw the Jon shark on Paula’s podcast, it was beautiful. And her beret was just stunning.
Yes I agree. It truly does make me happy. It’s something I can say I don’t think I can do without now. I can every image not being able to craft. 😥😥
Hi, I agree with the other ladies, do the one you have yarn for and treat yourself to the Nature's Walk yarn when your room is finished. I had to laugh out loud when you showed us the book !
I’m really looking forward to Blackpool Karen, it’s going to be a fun weekend. 😙
Hi Jeanette I think you would feel better doing the blanket you already have wool for at the moment then spending the £100 one later when you have finished your refurbishment. I’m on ‘no buy 25’ I’m trying to use what I have already then will feel better when I do spend something.xx
I’m very indecisive about everything at the moment, I can’t even make my mind up if I need the loo. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
What I would do is the circles blanket since you have the yarn. I also would like to do the Natures Walk blanket but I consider using the yarn suggested, rather expensive so I would much sooner use what I have in stash.
Yes sound like sensible advise. But you know me, I’m far from sensible 😅😂😅😂
Don’t start Natures Walk until your craft room is done and dusted! You will only stress yourself out. You have yarn so use that first and that’s my humble opinion and you did ask! Your projects are coming along beautifully especially the fairy. Just enjoy what you are doing for now and take care x
I’m in such a dilemma, should I, shouldn’t I. I do have scheepjes yarn tbf that I could try out a couple of squares. X
Lovely podcast again Jeanette. I’m just the same as you , if I get something in my head that I want it’s no use trying to talk myself out of it cos I know in the end I will get it . I’m just the same as you. I like to paper. Raft in the day and crochet at night. lol lol
Hi Jeanette, thanks for the double episode - part 2 was a delightful bonus. I read recently, I promise I didn’t make it up, that the creative mind is happiest when it has many projects on the go at the same time! I definitely favour that view. Just be happy being creative x
I knew there was a reason for lots of wips. Lol lol
Hi Jeanette I would buy the pack and do the nature’s walk blanket, I made it a while ago but used wool from my stash and was a bit disappointed that I didn’t get the colour pack…as you said if you’re putting all that work into something it’s worth using the correct yarn and colour 😊 If it gives you pleasure it’s worth it ❤
I’m definitely going to buy the pack if I decide to do it. After all the work I’ll put in I want it to last. Xx

What a lovely gift, I must treat myself to a mindful coloring book.
I highly recommend one. X

Yes I totally agree. If I had 48 in a day I’d want 49.
Jeanette , you could make the one you have the yarn for . That way you have time to finish your room and you don't have to stress , the monkey and the scarf are going to be beautiful ❤
Thank you so much for your advice. Xx
Loved the podcast, do your natures walk blanket treat yourself, lifes too short thank you for your time ❤❤❤
Thanks for your advise Chris. Hope you’re doing ok and still managing to craft. Xxxx

I’m sure you could manage the boarder. I’m not sure but there must be tutorials out there for the stitches it calls for. Ho on try it ❤️❤️
I have had the yarn and pattern for Nature's Walk blanket for a couple of years but haven't got around to starting it yet as I have been working on so many other projects. Life is short ... do all the things that make you happy :) Maybe work on one blanket in the spring and the other during the summer.
What a cracking idea. 💡
Oh that dresser is going to be so beautiful when it’s finished. Your frog is so cute. Love your new jacket 😊
I really hope so. Tim is great at refurbishing and I know he do a grand job.
Just have to say, I love your fairy! Can't wait to see how you dress her; all of her details are just too much fun. As for which blanket, do what your enjoy. You can always do a bit of each using the yarns that you have to see how you like the pattern. Well, either way I hope that you have a lovely weekend! 😊
I am absolutely loving my little fairy, I can honestly say she’s my favourite this year. Xx
Thanks for vlog really enjoyed it. I wouldn't worry about choice of blankets do what makes you happy
Thank you xx
Hi Jeanette
Perhaps you could do the blanket you have the yarn for now. Then, when your craft room is newly decorated and as you want it, you can start the Nature's Walk to celebrate your posh new room 😊.

Your new jacket is very pretty. Also I think the dresser will be very nice when it’s redone. Looking forward to seeing the color you use on the finish
Thank you so much. Xxx
I say make the blanket you want to make! It doesn't matter if it takes you a long time or not. If it makes your heart sing, you should buy the yarn and make a start. Don't forget to show us all, though! I love your dresser too ❤
Thanks for your input Julie. Xx
Thank you so very much. Xxx
Your gifts and makes are lovely, with regard to which blanket to make, I think I would do the Janie Crow Spirit of Flora since you have already purchased the kit and treat yourself to the other one when your craft room is newly decorated. (I am not good at sticking to plans though!)
No I must admit I’m terrible for going off plans. Lol
I would love to see the natures walk blanket!!!
Your jacket is wonderful. Both blankets are beautiful, I would do the one you have yarn for first while preparing to purchase the next one.
I adore my coat and it’s slightly quilted which is even better. X
I would do the one I already have the yarn for. I also would save an amount that I choose ahead of time with every goal met in this blanket and other makes until I get the £100.
Thank you so much for your advise. Xxx
Hi Jeanette,
I'm not a knitter.
I honestly think it’s just my tension. I am a very loose knitter. I’m sure it will be loved by Katie just the same. Xx
I would use what you have, as you may buy all your yarn start decorating your room and forget about it. It would be a nice treat to get for yourself when you have your new craft room. Also Stephen west patterns are great, he has videos on you tube for the I cord edging, he is a good teacher.
Yes I do like Stephen west.
Life is definitely too short Jeanette do what makes you happy ❤ xx
Thank you for you input. Xxxxx
Love the jacket 😊 that dresser will be fabulous xx
Thank you x
Thanks for part 2, love the new dresser, what a treasure!!
I’m thrill with it. Just need some dry weather now.
Hi Jeanette I did wonder why it just cut off 💓 thankyou for the mention and posting my channel details on your description box 🥰 I love that pizza fabric xxx 😍
You’re very welcome. Tech gremlins 😂
I’ve just finished the glow hair cowl, using one skein held with Suri Alpaca. It’s a lovely simple pattern with YO Stephen has a video to guide you with the shawlette
If it were me I’d put aside the £100 until you’re less undecided. Start the pattern with the yarn you have see how you feel giving long term commitment to a big project. Carry on with the little instant gratification toys they’re so cute☺️
I’m really looking forward to making the shawlett.
I agree with the other ladies, do the one you already have the yarn for and then the Natures walk when your craft room
Is done x
Thank you for your feedback back.
Sounds like really good advice, thank you so much. X
Jeanette this is your hobby, do what makes you happy. Just having to ask us what we would do makes me think you’re very undecided about buying the kit and that’s not making you happy. Why not start what you’ve already got and see how it goes? Lovely podcast ❤
I really can’t make a decision 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Do both as long term ones if you feel you can but you could also find out if any of the yarn you need is on offer and get the balls separately if it works out cheaper 🤷 xxx
Yes I’m going to do that. I’m going to start with one colour and do all the same pattern.
I did think about using different yarn but I feel like I’d k on my make the one so why not use my favourite yarn. 🧶
Do the nature walk xx
👍🏼👍🏼
I say do them both, blankets are long term thing so be gd to have blankets
I live by this, if in doubt I don’t do it. Especially if I slept on it
Yes I think your right, I’m definitely undecided 🤷♂️
I made the rhinoceros and now I’m making the mouse. I have both of her books. Gorgeous patterns. I don’t like sewing seams so I watched Linda Eds you tube channel and she shows how to do the knitted animals in the round and I love love it. I hope you enjoy it
Ive subscribed to her channel. X
The I cord tab cast on took me 5 attempts,he uses it on most things,I made the Dustland skinny shawl,it’s gorgeous
I’m going to takes look this evening.
I have just made the Monkey for a colleague, I highly recommend it you will not be disappointed
Thank you. I just absolutely love making toys. Xxx
Ive made all the characters in all of Louise's books there amazing animals and dolls yes got natures walk but dont want to take on a big project again
I have made the Nature’s Walk and it is definitely worth it.
It’s just a stunning blanket, but such a lot of money. If I do make it for all the work I’d need to put into it I want the yarn I like. 🙈
If you cant stop thinking about the blanket, and you have the money to spare, then I say go for it.
Thank you. Xxx
Girl, you said this was the year for toys. Here we are at the very beginning of February and you are talking about a blanket. But, who am I to speak. I have multiple projects going. Including 3 blankets.
Yes I know…. I just can’t help myself, it’s like an addiction 😂😂
But I haven’t made my mind up yet so no damage done at this time. Xx

Yes I have both books. This is my first animal Ive made.
