I think he meant he is not good at early game building; it's different when you have the means to get almost any block in the game; but yeah, on concept alone the Astral Library is quite the build.

21:30 when i first noticed martin's messages while watching scar's or grian's pov, i misread allay as ally, and i had imagined some very confused sad looking player standing by the world border, so panicked about not being able to find their soulmate that they are completely dumbfounded and unresponsive and are only able to stand there and hold a sapling in their hand
Is it me or does the pathing seem to be insane after the update. I'm sure everyone saw the pillagers follow the guys all the way to b dubs as well. It's like they are quicker and stay on a target.
I love that this brings back the 'fear of the unknown' for even the really experienced minecrafters. Hearing Grian screaming and panicking, Tango describing it being like a voodoo doll...it really does add a great new layer to the game without making it less fun. Once everyone figures out who their soulmate is it's slightly less scary, but even then, you're faced with the dilemma of choosing between fighting/exploring together so you can keep an eye on each (but both of you being vulnerable to the same foes/pitfalls) or staying apart so one of you can stay safe (but then the one doing the fighting/exploring has no backup). It's definitely my favourite twist on 3rd Life, so far!
I feel like everyone should have started with 4 lives, instead of 3. Since the deaths will be happening twice as quickly, due to the soul link, 3 lives might lead to a very short series.
I think Cleo and Scott had the right idea - caving with a soulmate is probably more dangerous than caving with someone else. If at least one person is out of danger, that probably means consistent eating/healing. Except, you know, when creepers happen.
Tango saying that he's not a builder is such self-slander... like excuse?? he's amazing (starter base, mega base, nether hub from season 9 alone is incredible) - he's great also I'm excited to see this partnership : D awesome episode
I guess it's different when you can plan things out in advance and build them at your own leisure. Here you get an hour to come up with something while everything is trying to murder you or steal your loot. 😆

My jaw dropped when Tango said he wasn't a builder. His Astral Library nether hub in HC is one of the most intricate and beautiful builds in recent memory.
Caving for iron will be a major pain. Most of the mountain surface iron will be taken as well. Your best bet is likely to strip-mine inside the mountains for iron honestly.
I could see, once a team gets to red life, one player hides and downs health potions, regen potions, and eats while the other person is out playing the "tank" without the need to pause for healing or eating.
Hey Tango! Quick tip for this. Since you share regeneration, in a fight one of you can get lots of buffs and the other eats golden apples. Just an idea lol
suspicious stews however i don't think is banned and one does regen, and also i don't think you have to be hungry to eat, which could be used like that as well

I think part of the reason the 3rd Life/Double Life/X Life series are so interesting to me is because they feel like a more social/casual version of UHC form back in the day. I want to watch everyone's perspectives to catch where all the different teams/alliances are at, and it's just an awesome and fun dynamic to watch. Super excited for Double Life!

No. They've always been fast mfs. If you've messed with a pillager outpost in the past you'd know what I mean.

There is no such thing as an ugly house when it gets dark. Anything with walls, a roof, and most importantly a door is a beautiful sight.
