GOOD VLOG INCLUDING DETAILED DOCUMENTARY, ANGELO 🛶 🌊🚶🎥.
Being the biggest fort in Malta, I think "Ricasoli" should be cleaned up and restored. THANKS 🔦 🎥 👏.
    Cheers 👍 🇲🇹 ♥ 🇪🇺 ™

This is another site I visited some 20 years ago or so. As far as I know, the winch was used for stretching the submarine protection net during WW2. There is, in fact a corresponding site where the net was attached on the other side of the harbour next to Valletta breakwater bridge. It's a tunnel and there are still some remaining cables on the floor. I was there multiple times as well.

It makes sense cause as you mentioned opposite there is another winch room. Thanks for this information.

Such a shame you haven't explored the cave with the submerged canons! But anyway, its a good excuse to return :) Really nice area to kayak around

Hopefully will do it this Summer when sea is calm, we used the kayaks to reach the Lido and breakwater area. Thank you

Very interesting vlog. I can never understand why so many buildings are just left abandoned and they choose to build all new concrete ones instead of restoring what's already there 🤷‍♀️

Thank you, even I such places can be restored and used by NGOs

@@AngeloCaruana Restoring fort Ricasoli would cost millions of Euros, it would be cheaper to re build.

@@victorvella2870 no! If you demolish and re-build you will loose all the history of the place.
