@28:20 what will be the formula if we are using different series for checking axial load capacity check?
For different types of bearing.. axial load capacity would be completely different. Like for single row angular contact bearings, we can apply heavy axial load, depending on how bearings are arranged. Moreover you don't need to check axial load capacity for these bearings which are specially designed for axial load carrying. You can directly calculate the bearing life. Axial and radial load capacity will be treated equally.
But bearings like cylindrical roller bearings, we should not apply any amount of axial load. We should check the axial load capacity specially in deep groove ball bearings only. Because this bearing is mainly designed for radial load but could take some amount of axial load as well. Which one fourth of radial load

Thanks for the video. Why you have not included the bearing block and coupling weight (load) while calculating the total load on the shaft? In video you have only considered the load of shaft (5Kg) and load of pulley (5 Kg). so, why you did not considered the weight of other parts? Thanks
Hi, In general, bearing block weight and coupling weight are negligible, no need to consider in case of bearing life calculation, (but we can consider, here I had not considered because, I try to make calculations simple, otherwise video will become too long, No such technical reason)

which calculations are required for any machine design
Its completely dependent on the machine. What are the elements we are using in that machine. For example motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, ball screws etc. and every element selection should be based on calculations, to optimise the cost of machine. also to make sure that your designed machine will last long without any major breakdown for at least for 10 years.

that L10 formula seems strange to me. accordign to that formula, the faster the rotation, the longer the life. Isn't that unreasonable in real life?
