My dad was a great photographer as a hobby he suddenly passed 2 years ago and I knew how special this camera was for him so I asked for it!! Now learning to use it and hopefully to become as talented as he was!
Highly recommend this course... Covers all about the camera in so much detail and more that needs to be mentioned in the the digital scene as well. Great investment... Thanks
Good video, the fist that explains the internal workings of a camera- mirror, prism, diopter, aperture ring, shutter. I also like the sensor info 1.0 and 1.5. Now I know.
Am seriously considering getting this camera ... I'd say a 90% chance ... This is an excellent video in prep for that. Love it. Exactly what I was looking for.
Regarding the waterproof element, i dropped mine in our local river, we were rafting and doing some adventure shots. Went right under, current washed it away a couple of feet, i grabbed it and it was fine. Long Live Nikon! I love u long time.
I almost purchased the 7D over this, but when I looked at over image quality in low light situations, which is more than half my shooting environment, I had to go with this camera. I do, however like the 7D's ability to shoot 8fps continuous burst over the D7000's 6fps.
1. it's true what comments are saying: first 18 mins- nothing; remaining minutes little info. So it's meant to serve as a promo for buying the course; 2. the guy is exceptionally gifted as a teacher, has a distinct capability to structure the information he provides and delivers it without ever losing focus of what he is wanting to say. 3. therfore, i paid the measly 12 $ and enjoyed some really in-depth analysis of this camera and, to a not small extent, of photography in general.
Not at all, I like this kind of deep explanations. I'm an amateur photographer but I'm also a dance instructor and this style of teaching is very close to mine: a little bit of history, an overview of the subject, a little bit of technical infos, some practical stuff and letting the students try them self! Really great!
It is build with magnesium body D7000 camera is protected by magnesium alloy top and rear covers and has durable sealing against dust and moisture so it is prepared for even the most testing of situations.
I am planning to purchase nikon camera so i need your suggestion Nikon D 7000 vs. Nikon D 5200 . which one is good. i am looking for a professional photography. please reply fast. urgent
+Pradeep Gupta Both are great cameras, if you are heavily into video d5200 may be better. My personal opinion would be to get the D7000. Bigger sensor, faster shutter, better build quality, dual sd card slots, better battery life and larger viewfinder. D5200 has more megapixels, but that won't make much of a difference unless you are printing very large photographs.
+CyanSupernatural Thanks you your reply I am planning to open a Photo Studio and i will go for Marriage party, birthday party as well so i think D7000 will be good or anyother camera under the 50k to 60k. I am going to provide the Album to our customers.
Nikon D7000..Hands down!!! if you want to learn photography go with D7*** DO NOT go for D3*** or D5*** series. D7000 is semi-pro while D5200 is basic.. Don't expect too much from it.. once you get your hands on D7000.. you'll never regret your decision :)
+Pradeep Gupta D5200 is " entry level "..D7000 is " mid level ". Want pro level look at a D4 , but do you REALLY need a pro camera ? No, or you wouldn't be asking the question ...
Is it worth spending EUR 200,00 more (being the difference in price in my country) and buying the D7100 over the D7000? I mainly shoot landscapes/urban and never action/sports... Thanks!
Hello, does this camera body has lens autofocus? I have a 18-55 Af-s dx nikkor lens but it doesnt work with this camera in auto. Please let me know if 18-55 AF-P one will fit better with my require action Thanks
The first thing I did when I opened up the box was stick the battery in my mouth. I reluctantly spit it out when Nikon said not to swallow it....Nikon, they're no fun.
Nikon is pronounced differently in certain languages around the world. Here in north america we call it Ny-kon in Britain, they call it nick-on in Japan, they call it nee-kon. You can pronounce it anyway you are comfortable with
Great video... Just what I need. But first 10 minutes were not what I expected (unboxing, what's in the box, showing the camera, the lens, who made the camera, Japan, the manual etc..)???
Very good video but I no way covers what he says he will. In fact, he covers what he said he won't. However, what he covered he did quite well. Now to find the information that I was actually looking for.
Hey I just featured this camera in my new youtube short titled "I QUIT FILM Photography to be a Rodeo Clown" Check it out if you got 30 seconds to spare! Thanks for sharing!
Well I'm dusting off my late mothers d7000 she never got to fully appreciate, this tutorial series seems like the perfect way to learn. Thanks
I’m very new to this I’m taking notes like I’m back in school…
same! my grandfather never used this thing and im finna take advantage😭
Same, lol I have my grandfathers right now!
Funny enough, I'm inheriting one from a family member as well 😂

Even though I knew most of the information, this was the best presentation that I have seen on line. Excellent job...
what a great solid tutorial, picking up a used one from a retired professional... a long way from my F3... thanks for your insight

Oh yeah, and i'm still in the river. No worries bro.
I really need this camera, that's probably the only thing I need now in this world
the visuals in this video (re camera functions) is just fabulous, thank you!! it's the way i learn ...
I moved from canon into Nikon DSLR. I own a Nikon D7000 and I didn't go wrong in choosing it.
Very good class
Wow wow amazing video thanks for sharing I love it. Thanks 🙏

Very different kind of video compared to the "regular" videos of this kind, but I really like it, very precise and technical!
So glad you liked it! John Greengo is awesome (and has another class coming soon!) Thanks for watching.

alexlanza7&9 Im excited, am about to dive in
Wonderful instructions and I look forward to seeing more from you..Great job !
What microphone are you using? It's amazing!
You are right. A second battery is great but I've noticed that my battery last for a good week of shooting.
This is what I have been searching ...thanks!
Have you ever had the back focus or focus problem that people talk about? If so what's the solution? Much appreciated
thank you for sharing! Awesome vid!

Excellent explantations. Great to see the basics covered so simply. Fantastic info.
How do you deal with the auto focus issue
I am planning to purchase nikon camera so i need your suggestion

My D7000 is still running like new… 11 years now.
10:00 is where he begins to talk about the D7000
great, thanks for your efforts
Why does it take 18 mins before you actually start talking about using the camera ?
then talks about it for 3 minutes and goes back to bullshitting... all hes trying to do is sell the course. waste of a video
very basic yet very informative
I'm a beginner photographer from Rwnda, there is no courses concern in our region? East africa?
Anyone know how to remove the info line at the bottom of image playback mode? It's suddenly appeared and there seems to be no option for removal?
Is the full course still available? The link in the description no longer works.
Hey, Nikon D3s' Sensor is bigger than the Canon 1d's.
Wonderful introduction! But what annoys me is that... John did not put on the lens hood! :)
Have had mine for YEARS and kinda just... wish I had looked up this video back when I bought it lol
Lowkey considering a full reset just so I can actually set it up properly
thank you, I like your video!
very good job, thank you
where can i see the 5 hour video?
Is it worth spending EUR 200,00 more (being the difference in price in my country) and buying the D7100 over the D7000? I mainly shoot landscapes/urban and never action/sports... Thanks!
No

D7000 is weather proofed and it's not just plastic its magnesium alloy
The first thing I did when I opened up the box was stick the battery in my mouth. I reluctantly spit it out when Nikon said not to swallow it....Nikon, they're no fun.
Zombbg4 bastards
Zombbg4 moron

Good camera.
It is magnesium alloy build for sure.
The body is made of magnesium alloy which has plastic over it.
OMG....Get on with it already
yeah, I caught that as well. I also thought the D7000 was weather sealed
I have seen better videos on learning the Nikon d7000, however it's not bad, actually very informative for newbies to photography.
Great video... Just what I need.
But first 10 minutes were not what I expected (unboxing, what's in the box, showing the camera, the lens, who made the camera, Japan, the manual etc..)???
I was given this camera, someone I know ,got another... wayy different from point n shoot
i just got one thrived off ebay for 129 total first camera
The first 2o minutes are not very informative on the operation of the camera.
Very good video but I no way covers what he says he will. In fact, he covers what he said he won't. However, what he covered he did quite well. Now to find the information that I was actually looking for.
usefull information presented in a rather dry way.
Someone just swallowed a battery where I work so…warning valid 🤪
7:18 it has 16 Mpx
Nothing about the specific special control/settings on this model .. .
D7000 has a 16 Mega Pixel Sensor, not 18 as you said.
jump to 18:45
John Greengo? thats ur real name? thats amazing because u really are a gringo!
Interesting last name but nonetheless thanks for the knowledge.
8 minutes of the history of Nikon?
i think parts are made of magnesium but not the whole body
I to weth join
its magnesium alloy covered in plastic
should not ON the camera and insert or remove the card..
Photograpy Basics? Can we please spell the word correctly?
👍👍
Eu prefiro ler o manual rsrs
@richimages buy it. It's the dog's nuts
you get much more than 600 shots in one charge
Hey I just featured this camera in my new youtube short titled "I QUIT FILM Photography to be a Rodeo Clown" Check it out if you got 30 seconds to spare! Thanks for sharing!
Not much information here...
its half/half
He didn’t even show us how to change settings
Hindi me translate Karke samjhaye
he keeps pronouncing it ny kon - i thought it was pronounced ne kon.
Soporific presentation though.
They had to dumb it down for Americans ...
You proved my point , dumb ***
It took you over five minutes to talk about the d7000 and then you still don't talk about the fuckin camera!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you are not talking about the camera!!!
Fast start ? lots of talk...slow to get any instruction..
18 min of crap then very little info
Listen again he said the outside is plastic
Over 12 minutes and you're just opening the fucking box ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!
to much verbal "FILLER!"
