Actually if you listen closely on the Night Raven / Geopala fly by sounds, it does not sound like a regular drone it will be sound like someone from the dead screaming in horror, or sound like a banshee haunting the sky, almost comparable to the Felons and Vulcans Howl.
How is no one talking about the XR900? It's sounds so menacing! The AC7 drone sounds while cool, make absolutely no sense for a jet-powered aircraft and sound very robotic and computer-generated. The XR900 has such a unique sound that gives me goosebumps, like it screams it's a higher class of fighter with proper-sounding engines that you can tell are powerful. That merge with the squadron of XR900's was just pure badassery! 🔥
when you play as the adx, theres no sounds like that. i believe that means the sound is them actually communicating with each other and the tower throughout the battle
I never played Ace Combat 3, but I did play through Ace Combat 7. I quite liked the sounds of the drones. To me, the alien sounds created a sense of unfathomable power. I'm stuck with the best the military can offer, but no matter what, my jet isn't going to look or sound like the next generation fighters. Their tech is simply beyond my comprehension (metaphorically). It also ties in to the weird motif of "Drones will never replace humans!"
I highly recommend playing AC3. It is by far the best Ace Combat game. Don't look up anything about it except how to progress to the other paths, because it is *That* good. ( _or watch my playthrough of it lol_ )
To me, they sound like silent (or budget as you mentioned) RC jets in the sky lol. I'd already flown with them quite a lot before (especially while making the F-18 carrier landing video)! So, they weren't included here even though they're UAV's :)
If you're on PC, there's now a mod on Nexus that adds it as a playable aircraft. There's also others that add more AC3 aircraft like the FA-32C Erne, R-101 Delphinus, and X-49 Night Raven.
Something I really like about the ADF-11 sound is that it *isn't* affected by the doppler effect. It's so catastrophically unrealistic as to be uncomfortable, it's alien and wrong and you need to kill it.
You NEVER forget your first Merge with the UAVs. Stole my Breath away in the Mission where you Escort the General. Fighting for this dude's life. And then suddenly an Formula-1 Car perfectly 1:1s my DarkStar's 1-Circle Rate-fight. I didnt know about holding "Target Change" to Lock your view onto an Enemy. So I just carefully eased my Joystick up to see it, toying with me. It was a Hell of a Fight. Easily my favorite BossFight Track (For Aerial Bosses).
Useful suggestion! I'll be planning to release project wingman videos at a later date as my pc can't basically run Unreal Engine 4 at decent frame rate (2gb graphics). :)
@@mathmocha1331 relabatable i couldnt even run the game at all on my laptop, luckily i was able to get it on xbox one (somehow it manages to run it decently enough to play)
Most if not All the PS2 and AceX had The Best Recorded Stock SFX And only Ace04 literally said the devs went to an Air Base and Recorded Jet noises Idling on Apron !
Hahahaha, AC3 is music to my ears, till it gets bugged lol, then we have disco party music :). I'd say that drones have distinct sound even tho bit lacking imo, but it's fine, after all they don't use aeon engines.

At some points, the mq-99 sounds almost like a V8 engine to me (for example, the cutscene where they appear during Long Day)
