Nice Brad! This format is great because not only are we going by your words, but we get visuals to go along with it (like when he was just staring you down betting $5 and you rip it afterward with Ks-9s). Gives good examples of what you're seeing so we can see (and hear) what you're thinking when you make certain decisions. Nice job on turning it around to make some money too!

They filled for the Seychelles' equivalent of Chapter 11 BK. They were sorely underfunded and greatly mismanaged (CEO playing in a huge poker game while the ship was shining could be evidence of that). They owe $65m to $90m to creditors, investors and depositors. I believe only a matter of time until authorities get invoiced.

From the looks of things someone lost tens of millions of dollars margin trading on their platform, and instead of forcing that person to pay the margin call or closing the position that was losing money they just left themselves on the hook for ever increasing amounts, which they were forced to cover from the accounts of all their other customers. They are currently trying to restructure by trading shares in the company for the money they owe, but if anyone gave me shares in that company I would be exchanging them for cash ASAP.

this is a true "Class of Poker" when facing deep wallets, not necessarily deep "Players" in skill.

I definitely feel for you with the whole "A guy with 1000x your net worth cheering over taking your money" thing. But at the same time, I guess it's not the money he's excited about it's winning at the game. If you think about it, the fact that he is a newer player and splashing around a lot of cash is actually a good thing for you, but it sucks when you misplay (let's be honest, it was a misplay) and he's celebrating like he just FTed the main or something.
Still, I guess you can't have it both ways. If you let recs into the game with big stacks and you'd be happy to take their money because you're more skilled then you have to take the bad with the good and suck it up when they take your money even though it's kind of a meaningless amount to them, you know? Like say it went the other way and you smashed this guy for 100k and that's HUGE money to you and you were stoked about it then he was like "Oh, big whoop, you managed to take 0.01% of my net worth at a game you play for a living. Don't you feel great?"
Anyway I'm just rambling. Essentially, it sucks in the moment but having these crypto millioniares splashing around their money is a good thing for the game overall even if it hurts when they do manage to win sometimes. I wasn't criticizing you for feeling frustrated, I definitely would feel the same way.
