Great review - very informative. I built my last PC 10 years ago, so researching now - the RGB colors is intriguing. But, are you locked into selecting only a few different colors? or do I have full control over the 'R, the G and the B to customize as I see fit?
Thank you for this review. Just a heads up. Not sure if I missed it but I am not sure what software you were using at 12:25. If it's Hardware info then it's not always accurate. I don't know how you do your tests but a collegue of mine developed his own GUI to get a detailed look and get information what all temps he gets. His setup for that is a bit overkill since he hooked up Arduinos for this. For your use case, I think you should use a thermodynamic sensor. No problem, I try my best to answer as many comments as I can. No issue no, it's more for looks. As long as the connector is in the right way the rest is up to you. Card sag is normal as they're so heavy and big nowadays, it's fine. You can get little stands if you want it perfectly straight, but it won't hurt it ☺
Thank you for watching. Yeah it is, I've just checked again too. That doesn't include the overhand of the bracket, but case manufacturers don't include that in space tolerances anyway.
The Hellhound seems like one of the best value options, a good balance of cooling quality and overall cost. Powercolor has been one of the best manufacturers for AMD cards for the last few generations. However, I have seen some cheap models from them, but maybe they've decided to improve the quality on their most basic models starting either last generation or this generation. Powercolor might have caught up to Sapphire now in terms of quality (arguably they realized that Sapphire's approach is the best, and sort-of copied their strategy).
@@syncmonism Nope, sapphire is still well ahead. Powercolor is great, well priced and good performance but they tend to have a lot of coil whine, sapphire just has better designs and uses higher quality components.

Hello. I've not used any other 7800XTs, so without testing it I'd just Google one vs the other. That's all I could do to help, but you can do that yourself anyway
Hey Quick question, the hellhound vs red devil, is there any reason to not get the red devil if it is the same price as the hellhound? in my region the hellhound has been out of stock ever since launch, and today i found amazon selling it for the same price as the hellhound's listed price in my region so i pulled the trigger. In terms of thermals and power draw and performance i assume the red devil is the winner. Let me know if im wrong, i dont know much about gpus, was gonna buy a hellhound but if its same price
No reason not to at all. As far as I can remember the red devil is clocked a little higher too. I'd put a guess on the hellhound being out of stock as its a more neutral colour over the red devil which won't fit everyone's pc themes.
The red devil is more expensive in my area should I get that one instead or just opt to get the hellhound? I care about performance I idk which one to get
The Hellhound is among the quietest 7800 XT customs on the market. Max RPM under load is about 800 for me, which is so silent you cannot hear the card at all.
I've been playing starfield 1440p ultra and it's been good so far. If you're getting coilwhine its because you are playing games where the frame rate is too high, you need to use in-game limiter or AMD chill. There's no reason to play games over 100fps much less 200 fps.
I bought a 7900xt Hellhound a few weeks ago. It had terrible coil whine even if i limited it to 60 fps. I returned it and bought a different card. Judging by my experience and other reviews, I think Powercolor may have some quality control issues.
Thanks for your review. What do you think is better to get ? Powercolor fighter or Sapphire pulse ? And will i win much by paying a bit more for example for Powercolor Hellhound ?
You're welcome. I've not used the other cards, so I'd recommend just searching one vs the other on google. That's all I'd be doing to tell you the differences but you can do that for yourself.

Depends on the game in most cases, like I showed in the video some games get half the fps of others. Being the ultra wide is a little longer resolution, you could expect slightly lower fps that what I show in the video. If you can be more specific with the games you play, I can give you a better idea.
