My ancestors go back to the early history of the church. My husband is a convert. He is the pioneer in his family. Three members of his family joined after him. We have had many special experiences in the temple doing work for his family. If you are a convert, be proud that you are leading the way for others in your family to follow. When my husband joined the church, we know that there was a celebration on the other side of the veil because they would now have someone seeking after them and bringing them into the gospel.
#Flood: I shared a Book of Mormon this week with a wonderful girl from Honduras who was doing some gardening work for me. She couldn't believe that I would give her "a gift". She was so happy I think she wanted to hug me, but extended her hand instead. Reviewing that moment, I wish I had hugged her. The joy in her eyes was so inspiring. I knew the Spirit was there. I've been praying each day since that she would read the book and that the Spirit would take it deep into her heart.

#flood A challenge baptized member from last April, is getting his endowment this coming Tuesday. He's been doing baptisms for his family and we've watched him receive both priesthoods. His son (also from the challenge) that he baptized in August of last year, is preparing to go get his endowments this late summer. He even shaved his life long beard out of his desire to become a future ordinance worker. Such a wonderful time for them both!! Enriching experience for so many. He has spoken at a stake conference recently which was amazing. Thanks, Jared. The challenged changed our neighbor's lives eternally. ❤

He was told they do not allow beards to do that work. He went home and shaved it off. Thanks for asking as it sure did seem odd!

Hey Jared, have you seen the podcast 52 churches in 52 weeks? It’s essentially a podcast about a guy who’d previously written a book by the same name after having a faith crisis. I believe he grew up Lutheran I think? Anyway, he visited a Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints ward a little over 2 years ago. Anyway, he’s become a sort of expert and visited all of the church splinter groups and was even invited for the last 2 years to speak at the BoM conference in independence. I think he would be an amazing source of inspiration for us as listeners and everyone as church members. I think it would be a huge testimony builder?? I’m always blown away by his knowledge and testimony!!! 😊
I have listened to his video when he shared he was baptized. Also, scripture central interviewed him. It is inspiring. I don't know how much of an expert he is, but he is now a member of our church. :)
When I joined church in 1987 I thought I was the only one now through ancestry I gave found I had relatives in first relief society in Navou and also some in Seventies back then even my husband had relatives in Navou and he's from Arizona and I from Wisconsin
I definitely believe that the purchase of the Kirkland temple and the other things are moving us closer to the second coming. BTW, I used to live in Wichita,Kansas. It’s beautiful there. My parents were from Grandview, Missouri , many of my relatives lived in Independence, still do. By now they are all 3rd & 4th & 5th cousins, we don’t know each other. Lots of missionary work to do.😊 I don’t see that happening, you never know. Where there’s life there’s hope. 😊

6:02 How much more significant will the dedication of the Salt Lake temple be? Could it be broadcast to the whole church? Could it be an opportunity to show the separation of the wise and foolish? Could it be a meeting of all the righteous (a session of Adam-ondi-Ahmen)? Could it be the time of being caught up? I hope we don't have that much time left, and that the Savior dedicates that special temple personally during His millennial reign, but these might be options if we're not as close as I hope we are.
I would love it to have a world wide temple dedication. I was in Tonga and participated in the Nauvoo worldwide temple dedication. I agree it would be even better if the dedication was during the Millennium.
After president Nelson surprised everyone at the Manti temple dedication, I have been thinking, wouldn’t it be amazing if Christ himself surprised everyone at the SLC dedication? (Assuming it is going to be broadcast worldwide - I really hope it is!!!)
When the Springfield temple was announced, I joked to my husband that we should move there. Since then, I’ve been wanting to but when you talked about Ohio, it had this random power of the Spirit. Either way, I can definitely feel the Lord wants me and my husband to live outside of Utah. Sadly it won’t be able to happen for a few years until I finish school and can get a better paying career but this video reminded me of the call i have to come there.
Great locations, I'm in Missouri, and Springfield will be Missouri's 3rd Latter-Day Temple built so far with, of course, St. Louis, MO, and Kansas City, MO. We'd loce to have anyone such as yourselves move here.

My husband was telling me that while he was on his mission in Kirtland, someone told them in a meeting, and he couldn't remember if it was his mission president or a visiting authority... or if it was Karl Anderson, who told the missionaries in that meeting that Joseph Smith personally chose each and every missionary that world serve there. 🤯 He posted about it on his mission Facebook page, and many of them remembered it, but couldn't recall who told them that. I hope its in Karl's books. I've ordered them so we can read them!

The acceleration may come, but the date of Christ's return is set and it will not come sooner, neither will it come any later. The thing we s should consider are the things that have to happen before the coming happens. We know the Constitution must hang by a thread (which we have been seeing for years), and that the elders of the church will save it. But we don't know whether it's to happen before the Lord’s coming or after. As for now, the Constitution _cannot_ be salvaged without a scourge decimating this land, for not only must the land be cleaned of the wicked, the church must be cleansed as well. (Just today I heard about laws being passed in many states that would effectively negate the electoral college in as little as two years. This would in essence bring in an unprecedented rule of the Democrat party and disenfranchise all those not living in major cities. Not only did the Morrill Tariff in 1860 virtually triple the taxes of cotton farmers in the South, the revenues of the monies generated were spent in the North, far from those paying the taxes. This was the very thing that caused the American Revolution to secede from Great Britain. And though it also was the primary reason the South seceded from the Union, the victors get to write the history books, so our kids (including mine) are taught it was because the North wanted to free slaves. Anyway, that an unfulfilled prophecy. The elders of Zion must save the Constitution. So far, we haven't even found a way to keep them from voting for the people destroying it. We also haven't seen the rise of the gentile leader who will come down in an effort to destroy Israel in fulfillment of Ezekiel 38-39; Zechariah 12-14; Revelation 11). Things are heating up in the Middle East, though, so we watch that with increasing interest. Finally we watch for Adam-Ondi-Ahman. It's just a huge valley at the moment, but it could be something that could take place any time. It could be hidden from the world.
You mentioned how you felt that you think the church is preparing for large numbers of converts. Maybe that is another reason for the shorter endowment.
