Being unified is one of the best ways I can think of to shine our light to the world. Don't let worldly forces get in the way of preparing a unified people for the Lord.
We need to keep our principles in our goal of unity. President Nelson himself said that we shouldn't seek peace at any price. My two cents worth is to vote with that in mind. Let's vote for the US Constitution. All of it. As it stands.

I wanted to point out too, that i noticed President Nelson’s emphasis in “the government will be upon HIS shoulders”. I appreciated that with the elections coming up.
Thank you so much for starting this channel, Jared. It’s really opened my eyes and helped me see a lot of great things about the Second Coming.
Think Celestial
I might be being dramatic, but I really believe this is what will help us to become a Zion like people, like President Nelson is talking about, it really starts with learning to Think Celestial. Living that kind of life becomes easy and natural when motivated by Christlike love. With His help, we can be motivated by the two great commandments. Recognizing our telestial thoughts is the first step to thinking Celestial. Using the characteristics of Christ, we can challenge and change Telestial thoughts.
For example, if my thought is, “Why me???” we can challenge/convert it with gratitude: “I’m thankful for this trial!” That’s only hard to do if Telestial thoughts are tearing it down. A Telestial thought might say, “I don’t feel grateful. Why would I express gratitude? Wouldn’t that be a lie?” No, "the flesh is weak, but the spirit is willing" (Matthew 26:41). We have two parts to us. The natural man hates difficulty, but our spirits rejoice in the refining. Our spirits want to become like Christ. It is simply in the declaration-what we choose to say and think.
Why was Nephi able to praise God for three days while tied up on a ship? It was simply a choice in words and thoughts. One way turns the light on, and the other turns the light off. Where even the coat rack seems like a monster. Praising God is a Christlike characteristic.
Another Telestial thought is, “Why would that person do...?” which is a judgment. A characteristic of Christ we could challenge it with is mercy, compassion, or love. To bring it up to a Celestial level, we might think, “Maybe I don’t see everything that’s happening in that person’s life. I choose to show mercy.” Or, “They’re struggling through this life just like I am. ”The Celestial behavior would be to pray for them: “Heavenly Father, please bless them to feel Thy love, to know of Thy goodness. How can I help them?” Then listen.
The choice in beliefs, thoughts, and words makes all the difference! With the Lord’s help, we can learn to think celestial. But, as we learned from Nephi, even when we do things with the Lord’s help, we might be chased out of a city, lose our possessions, and face trials before we accomplish what we know we can do with His help.

Once while teaching a child to read, I accidentally gave myself a powerful sermon: “Y doesn’t say whhwwhhww 😩: look, it’s arms are up in a cheer, saying “Yyyyhh!”😃🥳”
“Why” has since become a powerful key for me in recognizing exactly what you’re talking about.
And notice how often the devil tries to use it to divide, to shame and to frustrate, when it’s really for unity, exploration, humility, conversation and awe!
President Nelson himself is the one who laid out the seven bolded topics in a message in the October 2024 For the Strength of Youth magazine called “Happiness in Unity”. That is probably where the author of the church news article found the headings. The topic was important enough to him that he wanted it in both publications and for our youth to read as well.

Trump lies, lies, lies is a convicted criminal, abuses women, steels our top secret military documents and gives them to our enemies. Calls our good veterans and those that gave their lives so we could be free succors. Trump is not fit to lead thus great Christian nation that God gave us. Trump wants to be king and destroy our God given Constitution. Trump doesn't care about anyone but himself and money.
What do I do when a woman at church is contentious everytime I see her, no matter how kind or accommodating I am?
I feel that each election is an opportunity for each of us to show that we did our part. When wicked Gadianton robbers won the judgment seat, it was because of the voice of the people, and showed that they were ripe for destruction. IF our nation is to be preserved, we will need the voice of the people to choose good over evil. IF we are going to be individually prepared for whatever the outcome and repercussions will be, we need to be living on a millennial level already. In our thoughts, words and actions we need to avoid contention, pride and anything that drives away the Spirit. We need to embrace charity, kindness, understanding, ministering, temperance, faith and hope. We need to be yoked to Christ and united in Him.
The word “peculiar” shows up in the Bible seven times. I learned that from President Nelson.

Crazy thought: BYU is 100, President Russle M. Nelson is 100, President Nelson was called as an apostle 40 years ago in 1984, BYU won the national title in 1984, now, this year they are currently 7-0. Hopefully they aren't only meant to win 7 games. Maybe the Lord is going to come back and say, "Guys, it is my school! I had to make it awesome before I came back. It's also being led by the first ever Jewish Quarterback. 🤔

Who knows if it’s a coincidence, but I don’t think so-BYU is definitely set apart. Prophets and apostles frequently visit BYU football games. Years ago, I kept having this thought: for some reason, I believe BYU football and basketball are going to be really good before Christ comes again. 😂😂😂 I’m not sure, but that’s just my feeling!

President Dallin H Oaks in his last talk (Following Christ) said: "As we pursue our preferred policies in public actions, let us qualify for His blessings by using the language and methods of peacemakers". He also said: "It is significant that among the first principles Jesus taught when He appeared to the Nephites was to avoid contention. While He taught this in the context of disputes over religious doctrine, the reasons He gave clearly apply to communications and relationships in politics, public policy, and family relationships".
Here'e my tally of the seven references to the Second Coming, in which interestingly we only find one duplication. First, "Second Coming of the Lord". Second, "when Jesus Christ returns". Third, "Second Coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ". Fourth, "in a coming day, Jesus Christ will return to the earth as the millennial Messiah". Fifth, "Second Coming of the Lord". Sixth, "the Savior is coming again". Seventh, "Jesus Christ is the Son of God....at His Second Coming the glory of the Lord." Thank you, as always, Jared for a wonderful podcast. Final thought, if we throw our the duplicate reference but include the title "The Lord Jesus Christ Will Come Again" then you have a perfect seven unique references to the second coming

There has been a change in our bishopric and I have been called to be the first counselor. I am only 30 years old. I feel so inadequate. Is there much more to do before the son of man comes? Since I’ve been called I feel like there’s much to be done.
Yes, there's a lot to do, but it's mostly contained in Family History work and preparing the people to receive Him. I would suggest focusing on the things that President Nelson says are most important. The best way to help people to prepare is to get them doing the Lord’s work. Look at the list of blessings that all come from doing Family History, and consider how quickly spiritual preparation will occur if they get involved in it. Remember that the spirit of Elijah and the turning of hearts is what determines whether the world will be smitten and cursed at Christ's coming.

I would just listen to the prophet. He seems to be indicating that it's going to be sooner than later.
Also, I wouldn't stress too much about your new calling. Who the Lord calls, he qualifies. Even though TH-cam is not a calling, initially it was far, far, far outside my comfort zone, but I've seen His hand in what I'm doing as I faithfully try and do His will and stay with the mainstream of the church. 🌻 🎃 🌻 🎃 🌻 🎃 🌻

Why does Russell M Nelson keep using 7s? What does it mean? Why is he doing it? What is he trying to tell us? I don’t understand.
I just watched an older video where you mentioned the prophet brought up the salt lake Temple 7 times in General conference and then stopped. Did something happen afterwards? Also, how many times has he mentioned the second coming in general conference?
Another Pres Nelson SEVEN: April 5, 2020 - Hosanna Shout… Father and the Son/God and the Lamb mentioned 7 times. (Commemorating the First Vision is also mentioned.)
Interesting. Chief Midegah speaks about the 7 x 7 tribes multiple times also.
I've heard about those scrolls and wondered whether it would be worth my time to read up on them, but then we had General Conference. I've been given so much to work on and study from the prophets that the scrolls will have to wait. Maybe in 6 months I'll be caught up enough to fit them in, but my guess is that I'll be given enough invitations and suggestions again that I'll have to postpone the scrolls again. Maybe one of these Conferences I will be invited to study them by the brethren. 🤞
Until then, I'll probably not get around to reading them. But that's ok. I figure I can really study them in the millennium, after all my family history and temple work are done. 🎉
This chief is a self proclaimed prophet - sharing dreams like we all should Heed them and telling white people we are all racists and not part of the house of Israel and that his native american people are chosen and their lodge rituals have all the truth of thy gospel and the endowment wasnt new to him as he apostasy knew it all. Also acting the victim. Beware. Unless the prophet says his records are scripture - I wouldn't take heed.

It's interesting that 7 is statistically the most likely number to roll when rolling two dice, and that's why the makers of Settlers of Catan made it the robber. lol
