While you were celebrating this lovely cold day at a fair, we in eastern Australia were celebrating a 42C degree day sweltering under the hot sun. It was a horrible day weather wise, I was out to lunch in a hall without air conditioning just two big fans on the walls to stir the air but we all managed to enjoy ourselves anyway. We were given a bottle of frozen water each to drink & within 15 minutes the ice was melted, that shows how hot it was. Coming home in the car with open windows as the aircon was not working, my glasses were burning my face!! The blessing is that the high is keeping the cyclone heading for Qld from coming down lower which is a huge plus as New Zealand would catch the tail of it & they don't need the extra rain at this time. Have a happy Christmas.
Ohhhh!! I love the homemade North Pole signs, the candy canes…all of it!! The Christmas fair is such a really great idea…it’ll keep growing yearly! Julie, you look adorable as usual…love your style! Everyone has worked hard, AND IT SHOWS!! ♥️🌲🎅🏾 🎁

Lovely fair - such a lot of effort. Would be nice to see a nativity scene Maybe donkey rides or hayride to a recreation of nativity. Perhaps a place where you can invite folks to bring canned goods that go to a food charity to encourage giving to the poor. Love your enthusiasm.

I watched last years for the first time and this years looks bigger and more family inclusive. Just a thought for next year for children, animal rides or a carousel ( I know might be hard but your place is classy enough to have one. I know weather unpredictable but it looked amazing this year. Luke, this re-wilding project could also be the foundation kingpin for West Dorset Hiking Trails! Hiking and Camping available in West Dorset is easy access from London for people who want a weekend in the country. The West Dorset Trails organization of all the landowners contributing and building safe trails, picnic table areas, camping areas with loos and showers, and river corridors could bring so much business into Dorset, just like the small towns along the Appalachian Trail in the states! Camper's hostels and grocery supply stores, and outdoor gear supply stores,, etc. Of course, along with the Mapperton Annual Fiddler's Contest of music and restoration of folk dances and folk songs! Get a wiggle on in Dorset! Bring in outside people for fun and Provide membership and benefits to donations for the Wilding projects. You can charge for hiking and camping and send all that money to the wilding project.

I love your Christmas markets. The Christmas spirit is in every detail. It's a pity that the video is so short.
Love it. For next year, perhaps include a train or 'sleigh' ride (extra fee) around the property and possibly highlighting the wilding areas.
Oh, how I wish I could have attended. Christmas is my favorite because you have a license to be gaudy. I love lights and decor everywhere. Were I at your market I would have gotten goofy over all the selection. Julie, you had asked about whether us viewers would like for you to do a Mapperton Christmas ornament. Of course!!! And, I would think they would be welcome at your Christmas market. I will say, that I would like something from Mapperton to have out all year. Have you a coffee table book available?

I am thrilled that the Christmas Fair & Market is so successful, and seeing all of the foods available is making me ravenously hungry! BUT... the marquees should have been waterproof. What would have happened if it rained? I hate to say something negative, but I would not use this supplier again, and I qould suggest that for all future events you get IN WRITING as part of the contract that the marquee(s) will be waterproof. We live and learn...
So sorry I wasn't near enough to visit this REAL Christmas market. Skip the one in Hyde Park in London, everyone, unless you are really going for the amusement park portion. You have to pay to get in, and the market is mostly overpriced jewelry and scarves. I told my mom we could look at our entry fee as upkeep for King Henry's hunting grounds since we bought nothing 😂
