Sounds like the Travato is a good fit. Minimal "tail swing" makes it way easier to drive than the prior Class A and Class C ones, doesn't it? Your upload was a welcome break from the endless news reporting ... the networks are in "big story' mode where they're just repeating the tiny amount of information they have. I'd much rather think about RVing for a while.
Glad I could provide a respite. Where I notice the difference the most is when I’m driving and a semi is coming towards me or right next to me, not a lot of push🤓
We love our 2023 59G. Cant believe you drove off without a shower intact or testing all the heating, cooling, and water systems. The Murphy bed works for the two of us as we are on the smaller size with no more kids or pets.
Great update. That Christmas tree farm looks like one we drove by on our way to Ike Kinswa State Park---I wonder if it was the same one. I wanted to suggest that before you tackle modding your shower, go to an RV show (should be several coming up in the months ahead, at the Tacoma Dome) and look at what is offered in the newest rigs. Not so you can buy a brand new Travato, but so you can get ideas for how you might transform your own bathroom/shower, based on what you see now. I'd also suggest getting an Oxygenics shower head. There are many different models but the best thing about Oxygenics is that they conserve water while giving you the pressure you get in your home! We've changed every single shower head out as our first mod in the rigs we've owned over the years and have never once been disappointed. Easy mod to do too. Looking forward to your next video!
It is said that, the older we get, the quicker time goes by! I can’t believe it’s been 3mos already! Class B’s are the perfect RV’s for single guys. Not a big fan of Winnie’s at all, bec of the interior layouts, but I really like yours a lot! It has everything one needs to be self sufficient no matter where you park it! Always my best to you MTFBWY & LLAP 🖖🏼
Very nice update/review. You are a great speaker with a very calm tone. You should consider going to rv shows and adding reviews of other models to your platform.
Great recap! 🎉😊 I went back to watch your older videos from Tallahassee to Green Bay to Washington. Continued blessings in all you do and continued safe travels. You should also watch a TH-cam channel called "Where is Tiffany" She also has a Travatto and travels the West coast frequently. Her favorite travels are from Washington down the Oregano coast. She certainly knows how to chef it up on the road as well. #happycamping
Hey David! I’ve been following you since you started. I have had a 17’ TT, a small Class A, and a 25’ Class C. Now, we have a Ram Promaster Campervan, which I LOVE! I agree with you, maneuverability is Great! Getting into small spaces is easier. It’s like driving pickup truck. Looking forward to your next update and videos.
aha.. from RVTrader... used 2018 Winnebago TRAVATO 59G are about $60K-$70K range, depending on miles and (state) location. Good to know!! I'd love to get one some day! 😆😆
Craziness to remove a shower... Hope you video that mod/fix... Whatever you'll call it 😬😬... Glad it's pretty much a good experience, propane issue aside!. Looking forward to more adventures!
Congrats on your new rig! From what I understand, this layout Travato actually has a good size shower, so I'd definitely use it ! Definitely love the nimbleness of van RV travel. Enjoy !
Boy time does fly! Three months already! I remember enjoying the episodes where you were driving back to the Pacific North/West! Congrats on the milestones and gracefully navigating the "adventures" that comes along with the "RV'ing Territory"!!! Looking forward to your mods and appreciating the diversity in your camping styles! (State Park | Boondocking | City Wine Tasting). My coach is 37ft, so I don't have the versatility that your Class B provides, but I don't mind managing the logistics to accommodate my setup. I know it feels like it was just yesterday when I picked it up😂 Your coach is beautiful and you’ll figure out soon how to maneuver it better than anyone else 😉
I’m glad your Travato is working well for you. As I’m sure you know from your previous units, there’s always going to be things to change, fix or upgrade, even with a new rig. We have gone from tents to 3 different pop-ups to a 21’ travel trailer and they all needed help (maybe not the tents!). Thanks for another good video. I was interested in your thoughts about your class B.😊
Hi David, awesome update. Thank you for sharing and paying forward. I'm glad you found the perfect fit for you being the class B. Did the RV inspector include the shower modification in their inspection?
Old mechanic. The 3.6 L Pentastar engine is very reliable, for a Chrysler product 😃, fairly common to hit 200K+. Common problem is hydraulic lifter failure, loud ticking at idle. DO NOT overheat these Aluminum head+ block engines, or you'll have a big paperweight for a engine. At any sign of beginning overheating, stop, let idle (don't shut off,you want coolant to continue circulating) until cooled down. For all y'all Glampers with gassers, no matter what anyone or manufacturers tell you,do not exceed 5K for oil/ filter changes.I don't care what type/ brand oil,5K oil is dirty oil. Hope these tips help you Glampers out there...
No problem Jedi, new to channel, glad to help Glampers. I left a comment on Tumwater Falls, my stomping grounds are West of I-5. Anyway, to elaborate on the 5K oil changes ( easy to do yourself with way higher quality parts then you get at most places) It's not that the newer full synthetic oils break down at 5K ( they do lose some additives) but any oil becomes contaminated with gasoline blowby past piston rings. Gasoline is a solvent, not a lubricant. It then washes oil off bearings / etc. That's why changing oil at 5K, is a lot cheaper than engine repairs.
I live in WA love the state parks for day use with the discover pass, its a real value. I hang out cook take naps, but the sites to me are over priced. I rarely stay in them. I have a Jayco Terrain...I find a spot in the forest for free. Or DNR. If I do dragggg myself to stay I never hook up...too close, over priced. But thats just me. WA has some awesome parks though.
Yes the awning has been great. Works automatically with a switch and yes when wind blows too high it retracts. I am slated to have the Travato awning recall done soon as well😉
@@csmoothsk8ter17 None of what you asked about. They didn't go bankrupt from what I can tell. It was a small family business and I think there were some other issues.😐
