I'm appalled by some of the comments on here. Even if Stephen has been paid for this promotion (which he states he hasn't and I for one believe him) WHAT does it matter? Lots of TH-camrs use paid promotions. He regularly tramps the length and breadth of Blackpool to bring us, his subscribers a lot of very interesting videos. He deserves paying for it and, I for one hope he did get paid paid and if not, he should be, Well done Stephen.
Its all very nice, but I was shocked at how small the rooms are. The living room at the front is tiny. Then there is the vast kitchen dinner at the back, and plenty of land. The bathroom is nice, the bedroom with the ensuite is nice, but there is so much wasted space in the back garden and to the side. If it was me I would extend out to make a large living area at the back and I would have had the kitchen in one of the front rooms instead. Its so small a living space, for sitting and so on. I have a three bed semi and my living room is vast compared to this detached bungalow. And I have a dining room and a slightly smaller kitchen. It must have cost a fortune to update the house to modern standards with the kitchen and bathroom etc. But if you had two or three people living there, it would be cramped in short order....
They raffled off a bungalow just round the corner from us in Thornton a month or two ago. Nicely done by the look of it. The winner took the cash alternative so the bungalow is now for sale. I'm told by the Director of Domestic Services that we've got a ticket for that Poulton Raffle. We'll have to become naturists if we win, because there isn't much in the way of storage space in the bedrooms! 😂
We parked next to an Elite car in St Anne’s last week and my daughter was saying that he’d won the car, I had no clue what she was going on about…..now I do. I missed the house but I will look out for the next one 👍🏻 Someone’s going to be very lucky to win that house for £4.99.
I have apologised to Stephen about my comments. I do think he should stick to what he does best. But that's only my opinion. We all have a love for Blackpool. And Stephen is a great embassader for the town and the community.
A friend of mine says that she thinks I am a polymath because I know so much about a lot of things. From sunsets, astronomy, wildlife, birds, weather, science & photography to name a few. I may not be a master of everything, but I am quite well versed on the stated topics.

I had that house raffle idea in the 90s, it was too expensive to set up. I went there once my ex wife's cousin moved there from Blackpool, Julie Whyatt. Great watch.
If i won it would sell it and buy up cheap properties in blackpool and apply for a license to operate them as an air b&b. Then if successful sit back and make serious money every week.

I'm not very good at winning things. the last thing I won was at primary school when I was the nearest to guess how many raisins were baked into a cake. came home with a massive easter egg that I almost couldn't see over the top of - or carry. can't even get three numbers on the lotto. I have the asda app and nearly held a party because I'd won a spin on their giveaways and won £2 for my feeble looking cashpot (had the app since it came out). so yeah, not very good at winning things. 2nd place? like a pro! 2 local photography competitions - although, the picture I got of two clowns battling rain in the carpark of the leisure centre will haunt some people forever - it sits on a bookshelf surrounded by halloween themed items all year, but it was on display for months locally. 🤣

I would not enter a competition like this. It has the red flags of a scam. I might be wrong but not for me. Going aboard winning free holidays (Time Share). People booking rooms, through well known websites, arriving to nothing, people renting property's which exist but not vacant. Be great if life was that easy🙂
They are a local company I parked next to a merc which was an elite car last week , it was my daughter that pointed out it had been won by the person driving it. There are some proper scammers out there though…

You should direct your anger to the estate agent, not Steven. Blackpool is one of the poorest parts of the country so Steven's assessment of Devonshire Road should have come as no surprise.
We moved to one of the most deprived areas of Blackpool last year. So far so good. Had no problems. Very lucky to have nice quiet neighbours on both sides. Hopefully you'll have a good experience living in your new home. Good luck :)

Stephen is Blackpool born and bred like me and Devonshire Rd/ Claremont/ Whitegate Drive all have areas on them that are notorious for trouble and being run down. Stephen gives the true side of Blackpool not the sugar coated tourist side, it sounds like your EA has been buttering you up but probably also not an original local so doesn’t know the areas like we do. ( possibilty) But, i bet the nearest superstore i.e TESCO , ASDA or similar is WELL OVER a mile away So, shopping would impossible for anyone who is disabled & no car. ( just a mobility scooter). But, a lovely place nevertheless a place someone can call home.
I know you have said it's not a paid promotion but I find it very hard to believe there is no incentive, financial or otherwise for this video. Are we just to expect you did this video off your own back? Just turned up and promoted a company? You have to be very careful with this kind of thing. It's very different to what you normally do and you need to be transparent about commercial agreements on TH-cam.
If it was a paid promotion I’d have included that in the video. The only one I’ve ever done so far was for a photographic filters company a few months back.

Did you get free tickets or gifts? Anything in lieu in return? Kick back in the tickets? You have subscribers who have spent £6.99 a ticket due to this video, I can't believe you don't have any sort of beneficial agreement. Transparency is key. Don't take your viewers for fools.

It's nice visiting. But out of season it can be a very depressing place. Plenty of crime just away from the bright lights.
