When I see old Sharpe stuff, I'm not thinking about Sean Bean. I'm thinking about my grandfather. When I was 12 years old we watched all the DVDs together. Despite being an American, I remember he asked a folk band once at an Irish bar if they knew Over the Hills and far away, made them play it twice. lol I grew out of the boyish fasciation with war being "Cool," a long time ago. But, I can't help think the reason I have two degrees in History started right there in his living room. Now, that's Grandparenting!
Unfortunately, the Victoria Cross wouldn't come into existence for another forty or so years, and at first, it could only be awarded to those who survived their action.
when is the 4k remaster coming? hopefully they don't do a rubbish job of it and still have the original format 16:9 film or similar so they don't chop off the top and bottom of the screen to make it 16:9. i'd rather they keep it 4:3 with black bars right and left but upscaled if they can't do 16:9.
um unless sharpe suddenly joined the royal navy then he is definitely not a commander. i think he is either a major or a lt colonel in this episode if iam not mistaken.
