Thanks for the video! Unfortunately, mine arrive with some defect out of the box. Charged it up, flipped the switch, then turned on the remote and it went full speed into reverse by itself. Basically its stuck in reverse the whole time. You can hit the forward button to stop it and go forward but then it goes into reverse again full speed. Only way to stop it is to turn off the remote. I mean not the best quality toy but for a $100 I would expect it to function normally. Any thoughts on what the issue can be?
Hey Dudstar, sorry to hear about that I know how you feel. I know the quality on some of these units weren't perfect. I tried to reach out to Mattel support for my other unit that had problems and they shared instructions to recalibrate the remote toggles. While I didn't end up trying it I would suggest reaching out to them. Or if you within the exchange period to find another unit. Hope this helps!
Very late lol but as an rc enthusiast, you always turn the remote on before the vehicle.
Open up the remote. The speed controller free floats and may need repositioning.
1 remove six small screws.
2 pry cover apart with your hands (speed controller is press fitted but will come apart with some gentle prying)
3 hold controllers face down and reassemble making sure controllers are centralised ( maty take a couple of goes). replace screws.
Mine had a wire that needed re-soldering.

Hello superspeed, I would suggest turning on the Cybertruck first (headlights flashing) then turn on the controller. The manual suggests if it doesn’t connect within 10 seconds to repeat the process. Hope this helps!
I just got mine from Mattel. When I looked it over I noticed it was covered in a layer of dust. Almost like it was sitting for months or used… how was yours.
Hey Chris thanks for watching! Hmm I didn’t notice a layer of dust on the 2 units I opened although there were fingerprints. Assuming since yours is directly from Mattel should not be a returned unit I would say if you have motors that work and it cleans up cleanly it’s okay!

Thanks for watching Dog, that's the exact thought that went through my mind when I saw it lol I found a unit available locally at my local Toys R Us, take a look at their website!
Differential outdrive on these breaks easily. Best to open the differential up when you first buy it and superglue the outdrive with the best glue you know. Make sure not to apply glue on anything else ( be sure everything is loose ) but only the outdrive to the gear inside the main. Also put back the screw on the gear in place once glue is applied. Hope this helps.

Thanks for watching! The wheelbase is good just note to make sure you do some thorough testing with your unit to ensure the motors are working as expected. Driving is fun, the turning radius is large as you expect from a truck this size! Hope that answers your question!
Usually if they let you adjust the steering on the bottom of the car then it’s probably toy grade.
Thanks for watching Dave, I am no R/C enthusiast by any means. I would say this is great for Tesla enthusiasts, however if you are serious about R/C off-roading this might not be what you’re looking for.
the body can be used for other r/c projects. That chassis is utter cheapness though. Absolutely not even worth $50. I buy all types of r/c cars (toygrade and hobbygrade). I would definitely just buy this for the body, and then trash the rest of it.

this looks like a cheap walmart R/C toy.... not even $100 looking... lol.... I'd rather save up for a real R/C Car....I have the 1/10 Losi Baja Rey Raptor...this thing is a real R/C truck...
