Wow, did NOT expect my eyes to fill up with tears as soon as the style savvy apartment theme kicked in. Lots and lots of happy hours went into this game as a kid (and an adult lol).
as a young girl, i never wanted games like these because i thought they were "too prissy" and "not real video games" - now i realize i missed out on some banger music and relaxing gameplay. maybe if i find my ds again, i can give them a try...
@@cambone1995 Dolphin emulator is good for pc and I think its also on mac. Fairly simple to set up with lots of tutorials on youtube. You do have to find the files for games else ware, but I got all the style savy games for the DS and 3DS are on internet archive.

I'm a guy but my sister had Style Boutique (didn't know it was also called Savvy in other countries) and while she wasn't playing it I would secretly play it on my own DS so some of the music is quite nostalgic to me. I really love how the rest of the playlist is so chill, you did a good job picking out the music for this!
as a dude myself, I find these tracks very interesting and ear candy in a way. thought some would say its abit of this or that, these tracks are simply just your electro pop and house music some say its to girly or just too childish, but if you strip out the visuals its just a very nice electro pop or house track. I noticed that theres alot of usage of a very good sinewave, adding more to the charm. The adding of glockenspiel has that weird taste to it, making that innocence to the track. and some tracks adding that bongo sound, I always think it kinda has that calm feeling to it... These Japanese composers really know what they are doing, and we should all learn and take the assence from these work. have a nice day~

As someone who was a teenager in the 2000's let me tell you that id you had a nintendo ds you were not an it girl. You were a nerd lol. I still have mine.
As a guy, who later turned to be homo and into fashion, I was somewhat jealous of my older sister who got SS:Fashion Forward on Christmas and really wanted to be into fashion. So glad I later was able to play the whole game (even though getting the Redberry Cake and Tiramisu color never appeared for me💀) and I loved the music, styles, and in general the game as a whole💝☺️
when the fashion designer started playing i smiled. i haven't smiled in so long so thank you for that. i hadn't read the description, so i wasn't expecting to find one of my fave childhood games on here.

If anyone in the comments is looking for a cute DS game to play, play Kira Kira Pop Princess (and the sequel is good too)!! It has a lot of bangers and also you can customize your character in a cute way hehe
As an emissary from the boys of that generation who didn't get to play this kinda stuff, trust me when I say I'm bumping this occasionally during my commutes to my depressing adult job and back home. I love older video game music, and I hold solid respect for the gaming fashionistas-- one genre I wish was good at. Really wanna get my DTI friend a style savvy switch game as a surprise gift and watch her play, but Nintendo is dragging feet on remakes.
