    In this video i'm going to show you my current approach to creating photoreal 3D art. I only had 20 days days to make the art, and I'll cover a ton of topics, tips and tricks for effeciently getting to an end result. I'll be using Unreal Engine 5 to create my art, with a little help from Cinema 4D, Daz3D, Midjourney and Davinci Resolve. All of these programs are free (except Cinema4D) so feel free to download them all below, and experiment for yourself.

    One tip: If you do project with a game engine it is advisable to use version control like Git. This way you can track any changes you made to files that or not binary. Would have saved you from moving everything to a new project. Even if you did not start the project with Git you could have used a diff tool like BeyondCompare to compare your project settings to one that works.

    Looks really good. Just an optimisation tip… on your scaffolding, it would be more efficient to select all the individual cylinders and merge them into a single static mesh.
    It’s not about saving triangles, it’s about draw calls.
    Won’t really affect render times from MRQ, but it will make working with your scene a lot more pleasurable. Especially if you’re on a lower spec PC.

    • @pwnisher
      @pwnisher  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Totally! Would making a blueprint actor of them be the same thing, or no?

    • @Suthriel
      @Suthriel ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pwnisher Don´t think so, because the Merge creates a completely new static mesh, that contains the shapes and materials of all the merged meshes, fused together into one big thing. A blueprint actor that contains all meshes would probably be the same as having all the meshes as separate actors in the scene (mabe collected in a folder), each piece is still it´s own separate thing. Think of Minecraft or any Voxel world, that have to merge all voxels into bigger clusters to become performant and useable.
