I mean, his point was incorrect; we definitely need more reporters that properly question their interviewees rather than just accept whatever is said as facts. The one triggered was in this case clearly the interviewee, and nothing else.
When he says his security guards were also prisoners like him, one can understand why he is deservedly a champion of human rights. He has seen both sides and understands what is true freedom. The bird in a cage analogy is spot on. This is human nature.

Alternatively, a basic class in politics that outlines the nature of a 'political situation' would dispel the notion that any aspect of life can be completely separated from politics. Or, I suppose that would just be (to paraphrase kex969) 'a class of giving someone else definition of what politics is'..........
