    Wow, that is a nice little machine. Wish the working area was bigger though.

    I've been wanting a laser to mark my prints for a little while now (like what's seen at 6:31) but don't know what I'm looking for. The IR/Fiber(?) laser on this looks perfect. As does the Xtool. Had a friend try it with his lasertree one but he said he could only get it to melt the top. Are there any keywords that can help point me in the direction of additional options?
    Also there's a titling error. The video is labeled the F9 rather than G9. Either way, thanks for another great and detailed review! It's a good thing I don't have the money for one yet because I could definitely see enough applications with this to make me pull the trigger. Now I've got time to understand and research what the heck I'm even looking for lol

      You need an IR laser to mark on the surface. It works better on dark plastic, as you can't see the marks on white, light grey, or light yellow filaments.

    Love this channel. Good work team, interesting machine. @Aurora, I happened to watch one of your early CNC reviews, kind of funny seeing the difference in your height since that video :D

    Please take a look at your title. You have F9 in the title, instead of G9

    I'm not entirely sure but if I recall correctly, an IR laser is not the same as a fiberlaser. I believe the IR laser is also a diode, just in a different wavelength similar to some fiberlaser. If that is correct, you should alter the title to avoid confusion.

    • @AuroraTech
      @AuroraTech  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, you are right. Thanks for pointing this out; I just corrected the title and thumbnail.
      This 2W should be called an IR laser. After reviewing two other 20W diode + 20W fiber machines, I was a bit mixed up. The wavelength of this IR laser is 1064nm (fixed), with lower power and cost. I’ve only seen 2W available on consumer machines. On the other hand, a fiber laser can have varying wavelengths depending on the doped element used, and it generally has higher power (starting from 10W, with 20W being the most popular, like the xTool F1 Ultra and LP5 I reviewed recently, and going up to several hundred watts) and higher cost. Both can engrave on metal, but a low-power IR laser cannot engrave as deeply as a fiber laser.

    The only thing i don't like is the wifi antenna location being in the cutting space where it can be exposed to heat, fire, ext. its not a deal killer at all but i would have liked a better location for the price but what ever. I can see my self getting this later this year.
