@@Nitrox_909 Star Engine video already shows this is done, seems they are saving it for SQ42, or optimizing it so you can't reach a planet's core by constantly bombing one spot XD
@@Nitrox_909 maybe I'm getting the videos mixed up and it was a Dev stream. I haven't watched the video in awhile so maybe I am remembering wrong. But I thought there was a video showing destructable environments and a ship crashes and destroys a wall and makes a small creator. But I could be misremembering since it's been almost a year. I'll watch it again and watch some of the Dev streams around that time to confirm.
CIG has nerfed the launch force of the tractor beam but it still seems to work fine with the A1 Bomb. I included the set-up since there were some questions on how to prepare the armed bombs. th-cam.com/video/awhQSxMR2q4/w-d-xo.html
The funny thing is that, CIG will immediately release a patch to make sure that the bombs do not explode when not armed! this will consequently bug the entire gameplay because when we will legitimately try to bombard from A2 the bombs will not explode, all thanks to this video! thanks man!
Pretty cool. I feel like the audio could be made a lot better for these large explosions. And of course a shockwave effect would be nice, with audio for that too.

Not sure if its still the case, but it used to be (and maybe still is) that if you dropped while landed it would just fall on the ground and then eventually explode at some point. We tested it back in like 3.17 or 3.18 or something and dropped and then took off and just barely got away without getting damaged.
Now, can you catch bombs that are falling toward you? New Jumptown defence positions haha

If star citizen finally works as intended this will make for the most cinematic wars
You should test various angles to maximize range. If I recall, a 45 degree angle gets best range when air resistance is not simulated.
