There are a number of one-mile dirt ovals that thru the years have hosted stock car races of all five name sanctioning bodies. Most of those tracks are still there, including Springfield & DuQoin where ARCA still races.
a lot of these guys are now in cup especially the ones that are upfront in this race are going to do really well at Bristol next spring. I wouldn’t be shocked if it was bell and Larson running up front next spring. Especially that Larson might be in the 48 car next year.
Add just 1 super late model to that field driven by Scott Bloomquist or any of the World of Outlaw Late Models. They'd have lapped that whole field five times over.
@@alexbourgeois7863 I understand that. I'm a dirt fan boy lol. I am just biased as I think dirt racing is much more fun to watch. These nascar team, maybe or maybe not, have enough money to either put their driver in a dirt car or endorse a dirt driver. Why not do it? I would LOVE to see it. Heck, I'd probably buy that on pay-per-view!
@@adamnatta2900 I agree with the last part about paying to put there drivers in dirt cars. I think it’d bring more fans to not only dirt races, but maybe nascar as well. I’d honestly tho, love to see a mixed class dirt race. I’m gonna use WEC and IMSA as an example. They lmp1, lmp2, and gte cars. Why not use that format and have Sprint cars, Late models, and big block modifieds. I think it’d be an exciting race to watch. And nascar could do it to with the cup, xfinity, and trucks
@@alexbourgeois7863 That would be awesome!!! We need to get NASCAR on the line right now lol! That would bring so much to, like you said, NASCAR and dirt racing!
Holy crap at the dust. They needed more red clay. Too much limestone, doesn’t hold moisture. Only problem with red clay is you have to get a lot of rubber on it to have multiple grooves. Not sure if they wouldve been able to do this
Shouldnt dirt track mean a loose dirt surdace rather than a hard packed rolled and watered surface that is basically a slippery pavement with loose grit and dust on top?
why would they not water the track? dont make any sense to me to start a race on a extremely dry dirt track! This race could have been way better if they had watered the track and ran it in! just my opinion.
TV magic!?, NASCAR and NBCSN just skipped like it didn't happen, the complete mess that took out Vanderwal and Shepherd. NASCAR and Las Motor Speedway Dirt Track should be ashamed of the first couple laps on this dusty mess.
There was a video on TH-cam from a fan's perspective of that crash. They were up in the stands right in front of where it happened. I recently added it to my Watch Later playlist right next to this video, now their video appears as a "[Deleted Video]". :(
I want to see the Monster energy nascar cup series on dirt.
We need a race at Knoxville !
same
yeah i'd love the cup to go to dirt
you got it buddy! cup cars at bristol dirt!
Well this aged well.
Anyone else watching this to get hyped up for the Cup's return to dirt at Bristol Motor Speedway?

Thanks. My DVR didn't record the whole thing for some reason.

thanks
Beyond praise🎈
How about that? No hood, no problem! 60 and 99 had their hoods taken off, and hey stayed in the Top 5 for most of the race!
Og nascar broooo
Thanks for the video, I had to see how Hailey Degan finished 2nd. 👍

Exactly, it’s similar to watching paint dry lol
That’d be because those cars (late models) are made and setup for dirt. Where these are made for asphalt but setup for dirt

Yeah this track isn't in very good shape for good dirt racing. Way too packed
