    CONTEXT
Narrow down the subject matter so ChatGPT knows how to focus its output.
-Tell ChatGPT who you are as it relates to the objective.
-Define your larger goals for the output.
-Provide relevant details about your prompt (overshare the most applicable information)
    For instance:
-Website content: What are your site's main themes? Who is your audience? Are you trying to increase traffic? Convert Sales?
-Code Writing: What type of application are you building? What language? Integrations? Functional Objectives?
-Productivity: What work goals are you looking to accomplish? What tools do you use? Are there timeframe implications? What distracts or prevents productivity?
-Fitness: Losing weight? Gaining muscle? Current injuries or restrictions? Do you have a goal date?
    CONTEXT TRICKS:
State problems you're experiencing relative to the topic, for example:
-I'm tired of preparing the same meals.
-I would like to increase my flexibility.
-I am new to writing java script.
-I need more traffic for my website.
    ROLE
How would you like ChatGPT to act? Is it an expert or a beginner? Creative or stodgy?
    1. Define a Functional Capability - Content writer, Meal Planner, productivity expert, World famous coach... etc...
    2. Identify the Domain Area - Fitness, Mediterranean food, Lean manufacturing, Badminton, astronomy... etc...
For writing, make sure to define the Writing Style and Writing Tone. For sample Roles, Writing Styles & Writing Tone:
    LawtonSolutions.com/resources/
    ROLE TIPS:
Make sure to request unique content with one of the following:
-"You are known for your unique perspective and, as a result, are highly regarded by other industry experts."
-"Please provide insights that most experts seldom consider or that are typically not discussed by thought leaders in the industry."
-"Write in a way that challenges conventional thinking and may even provoke the audience to embrace a new perspective."
    ACTION
Concisely define the function you want ChatGPT to perform.
Next, tell ChatGPT the key elements you want by saying things like: “Include the following keywords, ingredients, features, dataset, column headers… in the output”
Tell Chat: Please don't explain what you're doing. Please do not self-reference.
    ACTION TRICKS:
-For 500+ word content - "Please write this content in multiple parts. Once you finish a section, pause and I will ask you to continue writing."
-If you’re writing blog or article content, tell ChatGPT to answer a specific question that you want the article to answer.
-I also say, "I don't want the article to read like an advertisement"
    FORMAT
How do you want the output to appear? The format you select changes the type of information GPT-4 delivers:
    -Use tables for idea generation
-If want you to ChatGPT to act as a SQL terminal in front of an example database, tell it that, "you will type queries and ChatGPT should reply with what the terminal would show." Then ask Chat to "reply with a table of query results in a single code block and nothing else."
-For articles, ask it to write in Markdown including heading and subheading notation. For content diversity: ask it to include bullet points; Include a relevant and specific quote.
-For plans and instructions, ask Chat to produce the output "in a sequentially numbered list"
    FORMAT TIPS
-Say, “Do not use single quotes, double quotes or any other enclosing characters.”
-Don’t bother with language like “intersperse long and short sentences”
-Adding external references builds credibility and improves SEO.
For the research in this Prompt, I used:
    Perplexity.ai
    TARGET (Audience)
Make sure your target audience is defined according to the level of expertise you to see conveyed in the content.
Creating or defining a Persona is a great way to help ChatGPT understand your audience.
    TARGET HACKS
-For more interesting content, tell Chat, "the target audience is well informed and stays current with industry news and information." This will ensure more current and expert results.

For some of the coaching and topics within this particular video, you might want to consider a fairly robust update, where related to how much of this 'best practice' is now altered quite significantly when using 'Code Interpreter'. (If you've already done so, and I just missed seeing it in your previous 'uploads', I apologize.)👌

Meanwhile, are you using Custom Instructions? If so, here's what I'm using for my current set of Custom instructions when I do craft prompts:
I leave the "What would you like ChatGPT to know about you" blank.
In the, "How would you like ChatGPT to respond?" I use the following:
      "Please do not self reference.
Please do not explain what you're doing.
Please do not provide article titles or headers in single quotes, double quotes or any type of bracket.
Please remain neutral on all topics."

    • @davetabler8924
      @davetabler8924 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

@LawtonSolutions I often use GPT4 to vet book writing segments. I speak to two audiences whose interests often don't overlap. The first is beach vacationers here in Delaware who want fun, quirky stories about Delaware. The second is credentialed historians looking for original research and fresh insights on Delaware history. I tell GPT4 to role play each of those personas. Then I run the writing segment past each for reaction. Anytime they both like a writing piece I ask GPT4 to place the two personas on a jury and ask them to critique the piece together. This step is a good double check. I don't always accept the suggestions from this exercise, but it certainly helps me to understand strengths and weaknesses I might have to wrestle with in a given piece of writing while trying to balance my two audience's interests.

As a passionate business owner eager to harness the potential of ChatGPT for my brand, this video has single-handedly unlocked a world of possibilities! 🚀💡
The video wastes no time in diving into the nitty-gritty of ChatGPT prompts, cutting through the noise that often surrounds this topic. The creator, a true AI guru, introduces us to a methodology that's been meticulously crafted over months of dedicated work. Trust me, the insights shared here are pure gold, and I can't wait to share the highlights with you!
This innovative approach revolves around the "CRAFT" acronym, which stands for Context, Role, Action, Format, and Target. Each element might sound simple, but the depth and power behind them are extraordinary. Starting with Context, the video emphasizes the need to provide clear background information, letting ChatGPT understand your specific requirements. This instantly boosts the relevance and quality of the generated content.
The Role section is a gem, as it guides ChatGPT in becoming the 'actor' that embodies your desired output. This isn't just about what ChatGPT is capable of; it's about defining its expertise and domain area. This dynamic touch results in content that's tailored and aligned with your brand's voice and expertise.
Now, let's talk Action - the part where you instruct ChatGPT on the tasks you need accomplished. The creator's tips here are priceless, like guiding ChatGPT to create longer outputs in sections, focusing on objectives, and specifying key elements. These strategies yield content that's not just coherent but also actionable, which is precisely what I'm aiming for.
Format, a section often overlooked, is brought to the forefront with creative brilliance. ChatGPT's formatting can make a significant impact, affecting readability, presentation, and even SEO. The video suggests experimenting with different formats, like the AIDA marketing formula or the storytelling format from "Building a StoryBrand." This insight alone can transform content from good to captivating.
Lastly, Target encapsulates defining your audience with precision. ChatGPT is a blank slate, so telling it who it's addressing is crucial. Whether it's novice learners or industry experts, communicating this allows ChatGPT to tailor its output to perfection.
The video goes above and beyond, showcasing practical examples at every step. From writing Markdown-formatted content with headings, subheadings, bullet points, and even external links, the creator leaves no stone unturned. As a business owner, I'm over the moon, envisioning how these strategies will elevate my brand's content game and skyrocket my SEO rankings.

Awesome guide. One question. When I put your icewinder article text through an ai detector is says its human. When i follow your process my text shows as AI generated. Is there some special sauce you are adding to make sure it isn't detected as AI content.?

    • @LawtonSolutions
      @LawtonSolutions  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Much appreciated. During my migration process from ChatGPT to a blog page (I use Wordpress), I read through the content completely and I make small changes (by this I mean 5% of the content) based on my preference. Mostly, I've noticed that ChatGPT over writes the introduction and conclusion for each section. I, personally, don't love this style so I tone it down. Again, it's not more than 5% of the content but perhaps that matters.
The good news about AI generated articles... I answered this earlier for a different commenter:
I recommend you check out google's response to this topic in Feb 2023. I've included the link to the article: developers.google.com/search/blog/2023/02/google-search-and-ai-content
      Here's a key excerpt:
"...it's important to recognize that not all use of automation, including AI generation, is spam. Automation has long been used to generate helpful content, such as sports scores, weather forecasts, and transcripts. AI has the ability to power new levels of expression and creativity, and to serve as a critical tool to help people create great content for the web."
This, of course, could change but, for now, google still prioritizes QUALITY content, regardless of how it was generated. I hope that helps.

Could you possibly give a solution to the character limit problem of free version of chatgpt? Is there any automatic way to cut our prompt into multiple parts?
Because the CRAFT method that you mentioned can consume lot of characters for a single prompt.

    • @LawtonSolutions
      @LawtonSolutions  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

I’d recommend using priming. Smaller dialogues done in intervals before asking ChatGPT to provide an answer. This helps ChatGPT to ingest large amounts information without exceeding limits. Make sense?

I would use ask ChatGPT to provide the format in a table. Make the columns headers of the table more non-traditional. Things like: flip the script, fantastical characters, and what someone from “opposite land” would say. Or have ChatGPT come up with those column headers as a brainstorming approach. Then, pick the ones you like and iterate a few times.

    • @LawtonSolutions
      @LawtonSolutions  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

Thanks for your comment and interest in the channel. The articles that Chat GPT writes don't rank on Google. However the website on which the articles are posted, do rank on page one of Google. For example, please do a separate search for any of these keyword strings: gel pack acupressure, ice pack acupressure, acupressure cold pack. You will see my product, Ice Winder, appears on the first page for these keywords (which I'm optimizing for with these blogs). I hope that helps.
