- The Oslo Philharmonic with chief conductor Klaus Mäkelä perform Zoltán Kodály's Dances of Galánta in Oslo Concert Hall on 16th October 2020.

Usually I listen more and watch less, but it is such a delight to watch Mr Mäkelä conducting. It just lifts you up. :)

The perfect antidote for the cultural desertification of the Western world. When I look around I often feel like completely loosing hope, that is, until I see that a presentation like this where a good buch of people are endeavouring to keep alive the best that humankind has creted. We need more, much more of this.
It does make one hopeful. He’s a lot of fun to watch. The musicians look like they are having fun.
Oh, please, stop with all this negativity. My theory is, the people who are constantly going on and on about "the West going under", are contributing the most to this pessimistic worldview. It would be more helpful if they put their energy into something they actually care about.

Wonderful energy and LIFE to this performance (as usual with this superb orchestra and conductor)! The musicians and maestro Mäkelä really seem to delight in each other and in the music, which makes for a completely satisfying listening/viewing experience. 🤗💕

UNCONSCIONABLE! In a piece that’s only 17:20 minutes long, there were THREE COMMERCIALS bursting in! There may have been even more but I couldn’t stand it. I switched it off. It may be free viewing but that’s disrespectful to the composer AND the performers. DISGUSTING!

Totally wrong. Listen to proper performance to learn. Kodaly hugged me once, so I know how he meant this to be performed. It is not the Orchestra, it is the conductor at fault.
