These are very cute. You can take the vinyl that you weeded and stick it on the coating paper to pull it off without chancing scratching it.

How do u download brush strokes
@@letitsewandcraft DB has various Brush Stroke files available. Download them just like other designs. They can then be used as outlines for your vinyl or backgrounds for Sublimation or Print then Cut.

I think Makers Gonna Learn has a video about protecting vinyl. If I remember right, they recommend Modge Podge. Can’t remember which kind for Acrylic.

What vinyl do you use?
Crystal - watched this video on 7/31/2022, and have a question about mirroring a design and putting it on the back of the key chain. If using permanent vinyl, would I have to coat the back with Modge Podge to keep the vinyl from peeling. I'm afraid if this gets handled a lot, the vinyl could come off.

Hi Claudia! In this video, Crystal is using Cricut brand vinyl for her name and has mirrored the vinyl to place it on the back. The vinyl only has one "sticky" side. If you have any questions, please send us an email to mail@designbundles.net and we can help!
Does the Dollar tree transfer tape works good for you? I’ve heard from a few cricut makers that it’s been giving them problems.
I would recommend a stronger transfer tape.
When you are doing the fonts. I thought that DS only uses OTF. So it uses both?
You only need to install one version of the font - the OTF or TTF. You can install the OTF if you'd like :)

I tried this but you can tell that the paint stroke is the adhesive side from the font. How do you not get the adhesive texture after you’ve pressed it down? I want it smooth where you can’t tell it’s the backside of the vinyl.
I would try using a squeegee or a card to smooth it out on the acrylic. 😊
You say "adhesive vinyl" is there a difference between that and contac vinyl?
Adhesive vinyl is usually permanent vinyl, where as when someone says contact vinyl that is usually the transfer paper they are using. - Brittany

Unfortunately fonts are not able to be installed onto a chromebook.
I’ve found you need super thin acrylic blanks. I purchased 2mm blanks and they are too thick :(

No, she used a white vinyl for the name on one side and a light blue vinyl cut in a paintbrush stroke design.
