If Eakes does this challenge again, he should have a partner that alternates with him. Would be more interesting how well a second person would do with an account and I actually think it's possible to maybe 36 star the abyss if they are lucky in certain aspects like gacha and artifacts.
This is gonna sound really weird, but as I like to experiment with stuff and generally gravitate towards what feels good to use over general efficiency (i.e. I don't play National because I don't think it's a fun team/archetype), hearing Goph go from "Oh sweet! Bennett!" to "...Ah damn... _Bennett..."_ was actually pretty cathartic. And for anyone confused by that, Goph heavily implies that he was hoping to avoid playing National, but since he ended up getting the characters needed partly through dumb luck (the aforementioned Bennett pull), he felt like he had to in order to complete the challenge. I think it was Zajef that said that if Genshin didn't have gacha, the scrutiny surrounding characters wouldn't be anywhere near as bad and some characters like Qiqi and Amber wouldn't be the memes they are to this day.

tbh it would be interesting to see a challenge where the account is played nonstop 24/7 for a 3-4 week span without spending any money besides welkin+battlepass. You could even colab with other streamers and get them to play it during there peak hours. It would be interesting to see if you could indeed 36 star the abyss, and 100% all content areas in 1 month if the account was played 24/7. It would be crazy to see how many wishes were achieved and how bad ass of an account a team of people could make if they were all working together for one common goal. After the challenge is completed you could do a co-stream with everyone who was involved and get their takes as they played the account and if there were any disagreements along the way.

i started genshin again after YEARS of being away from the game (covid days) - and i am so excited to feel the nostalgia of exploring liyue again! i wish i could grind this game like a speedrun again but i guess im gonna be so happy taking my time knowing that others are doing the speedrun so that we dont have to lol :))

HOLD ON! Eaks your my fav Genshin creator, but this abyss is HARD. Now I hadn’t cleared the abyss yet back when you were doing the challange, so I can’t comment on that abyss, but this abyss is pretty difficult. So if someone issss attempting this kind of thing right now. My hat goes off to them.
I think daily farming artifact routes would be key, as well as cherry picking a banner and abyss. To my mind being choosy is legit. Oh, Eakes, I think doing it after 5.0 and whatever the. Ew meta is would be super interesting. You might not want to do it 4.0, but maybe 4.1.
I would like to see you trying to attempt Spiral Abyss with AR 35 account (without possibility to farm 5* artifacts besides weekly bosses - Glad/Wond. Troupe) to see how this goes. But that would take a long time for account to actually gain some true power - cuz of artifacts.
It's not fun to waste the time, but I actually created a second PSN account so I could play my alt account on PS. So Goph could've been on PS if he had created a second account to link it.
Hyperbloom question: Can you put thundering fury on the dendro character if they’re the active character when the reaction is happening? Eg. If Baizhu has kuki and Barbara’s skills on him, is he the one benefiting from the TF buffs?

yeah, it is the nature of gacha: since each character costs real time or money, each character needs real scrutiny
