This brings me back to the old days, my parents have a collection of her songs. It was a sort of a treasure because of how well and beautiful she sings.
Wow! Never heard or saw anything like that that I can remember. Makes me feel great about the Thai people and culture. I'd like to have that in the U.S. and I won't be here much longer! Like I said, wow!
It is amazing that western girl sings and do morlumThai so beautifully like a natural Thai girl. She must be living I; Thailand for a period of timer she may be grownup there in Thailand. Love it!
this is the first-ever morlum song I ever heard many years ago, and I've loved morlum ever since!! Christy Gibson and Jonas Anderson are AMAZING!! It's so cool and daring of them to come to Thailand and fully learn the language so perfectly and present their fun songs and dances for all of us to enjoy=)
@@travelwithyourears7528 neither were born in Thailand, Jonas Anderson (Jonas Wadenholm) is born in Sweden came to Thailand age 10, Kristy Gibson is British-Dutch citizen (father is British mother is Dutch) came to Thailand when she was 6. Both are still there and have lived all over Thailand from Phuket in the south to Chang Mai in the north and multiple visits over the Myanmar border Kristy's family now lives in Myanmar has been in Thailand & Myanmar all this time. I went to boarding school 5 years 20 miles outside Bangkok with both of them.
@@johnfilmore7638 Thanks for the correction, I guess I had read the wrong info that they were raised in I-san, that their parents were Christian missionaries there from Sweden and Holland and that they grew there. Thought that was why their Mor Lum singing was so good....I haven't seen many videos of them lately, hope they are still singing, guess their might be in their 40s now....I think Kristy not only has a superb voice, but she is extremely beautiful as well as smart and talented...wish them the best to both, and I feature some of their videos on my site...
@@travelwithyourears7528 Oh, sorry - upon discovering this beautiful song all those years ago I had read that Christy was born in the Netherlands and migrated to Thailand with her family as a child: "BornMay 28, 1968 (age 53) Amsterdam, Netherlands Christy Gibson moved to Thailand as a child with her family when she was six years of age. They lived in Korat and then Bangkok. [Source: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christy_Gibson ] Nevertheless, I still feel tremendous joy every time I see any Westerner care to invest in learning a language so vastly different from what they're accustomed to😊
I love this version , but then I just always been of Banyen Rakkaen, I mean of course she is Thai so she would sound more fluent. But it's the rhythm that I'm so addicted to. No lie, again, I like this version as well.
Wow, I first heard this song and watched its video when I was at home in Canada and I was immediately blown away...And Christy's voice is awesome - the way that each syllable is sung in smoothly varying pitch is absolutely fantastic! Everyone in the video looks amazing and the dancing is so graceful and looks like heaps of fun!! I anxiously await the chance to holiday in beautiful Thailand and perhaps (if i'm uber-lucky!) get to meet Jonas and Christy in person=) You two are the best=)
I love Christy. I admire her embracing Asian Culture and being able to balance between culture clashes, walking, talking, dancing, every string! Love u Christy!
You guys are truly amazing. I love seeing different cultures intermingle especially when it comes to music! Please keep up the wonderful work and I love your voices! It is very inspiring. =)
Thanks for the repost. My daugher received "hand" training from the moment of birth ... give or take a few hours ... Christy has had the same training, obviously! Dii maag thidiaw

Oh wow she is so good ❤❤❤
Gorgeous and is more mesmerizing when she sings in Thai.
Beautiful. And perfectly
What a gods give,wow I love it❤
Great singing. love it.
