I just learned about the insane sport called BIG LICK and SORING. You have such a large audience of horse lovers, is there any way you could do a video about it to help end it once and for all? No on knows what these poor horses go through behind the doors of the BIG LICK. It's breaking my heart knowing it still continues.....
Hi Eye Sea and Welcome! Yes. unfortunately Big Lick has been around for a while and is still acceptable in most training of TWH. I appreciate you reaching out to my channel for help with this but the people that watch my channel are not the same people that support the Big Lick. You need to go on those channels and raise some hell!
Awesome. I was already thinking to restart myself from scratch with riding. I need to know everything! I don't want the horse to look down upon my ability level knowing they are better at this than I am. It is embarrassing 😆 Then again, it is such a blessing for anybody to have even trusted me with a horse that was 50-100X better than me... If I ever have such a pleasure again I want to do more than glance down at our shadow and gawk at how gorgeous we are! 🤩

Do you allow/have facilities for swimming with horses? That is probably the best thing about August in Florida! All the lakes, streams, ponds, and ditches are filled with rain water for good swimming. 😍
I tried this with a strange horse when cleaning his stall not long ago and was tickled when it worked. I put my hand flat against the pressure point behind his forequarters and pressed only hard enough to get his eye from his haybag. When he turned to see what it was I wanted, I then glanced to the back of his stall and kept thinking "go over there" with all my energy which I brought up for that moment. He moved right away from me, like he was a perfect gentleman with whom I had spent years, and let me out with the wheelbarrow. I was so pleased. I want to add that he went EXACTLY where my intention was and not just away from my pressure. I just couldn't even believe it! P.S. I made no sound of any kind but if the first thing failed I would click and try again, but shoot, he did it in 1 attempt and even dropped his alfalfa for me, a total stranger. 😎 That was a magic moment to me. Thank you for this new gift, Caroline! We will hopefully be in Florida soon to thank you in person.
