Years ago, my family and I were at Bumping Lake Campground, on the eastern side of the Lake. No one was there but the camp host, which we didn't see. It was a lovely day in July, blue skies, warm, and wonderful. We went to the boat ramp, and then walked past the bathroom, just south of the boat ramp, down the small embankment to the narrow shoreline, and looked at a small island about 200 feet from the shore. There was driftwood around the shoreline, floating in the water, and it was there that we all felt something eerie in the air.
We didn't say anything at the time, but my hackles stood on end. We compared notes later and we all felt the same thing. I felt something similar in the air while visiting a small vault toilet just a half hour before, while touring the campground. This was over ten years ago, and about a month after this incident, I read an old report written in the 1800's, that there was some kind of ambush predator that would leap out of the water and pull in an Indian Brave who might have fallen too far behind on the trail that encircled Bumping Lake at the time. William O. Douglas, who grew up in a house near Camp Fife, wrote that while on horseback, he saw a large creature frolicking in the shallows, and making waves at Bumping Lake, but he did not describe its appearance.

@@markencinas9369: I have read reports of Sasquatch encounters on Divide Ridge, and in western Yakima County. Come to think of it, I've read reports of Sasquatch floating down the Yakima River behind logs, to get a better look at people.

@@markencinas9369: I think it was a documentary that was talking about the "Stick Men" of Washington. From what I gather, the Yakamas called the Sasquatch "Stick Men," because the Squatch would sneak up on their teepees (at night) and drop sticks in the opening at the top. On other occasions, the Squatch would be seen peeking around floating logs (Yakima River) to get a better look at the encampment, as they sailed on by. What I find rather creepy, is the Squatch were trying to be clever. Quite intelligent actually.

@@markencinas9369: I read a report by the BFRO that a man, and woman, saw 3 Sasquatches at twilight, down by the river (just outside Naches), on their way home from shopping. I read another report that a number of motorists saw an adolescent Sasquatch during a rainstorm at an intersection in Naches. They said it looked bewildered, and bumped into some of the cars, as if it was disoriented. It finally made it's way to the river and disappeared from view.

I like it when you show beautiful scenery instead of this white screen.

I've been to bumping lake once along time ago and once nearby at rattlesnake gultch. Seen 3 sets of eye shine. A few from a distance and one in the tree line while standing in the road as I was talking to a fellow researcher.

Strange how the researchers are always inarticulate and repetitive and boring interviews
