    Best video tutorial of nord stage 4 here on youtube. Thanks.

    I love the super efficient workflow on the Nord Stage 4 it's a huge jump from the 3. The quality of the effects are best in class and rival dedicated external effects units and certainly the best on a hardware keyboard.

    For example, in Yamaha FX or Korg KronosX (and these are older instruments) I can safely adjust the length of the piano (for example by making it end abruptly after releasing a key). But this simple possibility is again not available in NORD. But at the same time this possibility is in the synthesizer block. How so? Again an expensive instrument does not provide a feature that has been around for a long time in other instruments.
    Here, I recently bought myself a Nordstage 4 88, but am very disappointed that the simplest things cannot be done in it. And the instrument costs so much....

    What's really bad about NORD is that the two blocks with treatments have fixed effects. This is very strange. For example in Yamaha XF I can use 2 blocks, but in each block I can choose any effect I want. And in Nord as a result I can't use for example amplitude modulation and also panoramic modulation. I mean that the volume would change smoothly and the sound would rotate left-right. I can freely make this mushy electric piano sound in Yamaha. But such an expensive instrument NORD can not allow it (such a simple thing, which is allowed by instruments of ten years ago). It's strange.

    i'm coming from a stage 2, and since ive got it ive always used "pending load" to basically cue up the next song as soon as i find out what it will be.... for years now this has let me have it ready to go so i can instantly switch to the new patch and come into the next track.. but im hearing that this ESSENTIAL feature was removed for some reason?
    So, with that in mind, when i get my stage 4, how will I cue up my next patches live so i can instantly begin the next tracks, without switching to it early? Is this just an after thought now needing a workaround or have Nord not considered this? Surely the keyboard doesn't change the patch simply by scrolling, we need the ability to look then pick one? thanks
    From what i hear people loved SONG MODE on the Stage 3 but it was removed too, is there a reason for all the inconsistency?

    Still badly needs a second eq, and second compressor would be nice, where you can glue all your instruments together

    White Grand in Bright timbre, MUST be EQ modulated because it's too shinny. That's the reason I prefer Grand 3D or Studio Grand 2.

    Here's another example. Why reverb and delay can be done “globally” except that you can adjust for each instrument (out of seven) separately. BUT! Why the effects block (amplitude modulation or panorama rotation) was not made globally! It could be much more important than a global reverb!
    There is a whole problem with effects.
    Why, for example, if you use organ rotation in an effect block, the sound becomes MONO!!! And what is the point of offering this effect if the sound immediately becomes flat, losing stereo volume!?!???

    can i octave a piano without wasting another piano? thanks

    • @borispradel1037
      @borispradel1037 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I don't get your question, but you actually can change +1 or -1 octave in any of the pianos.

    • @Saperliporeneroulett
      @Saperliporeneroulett 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Either you add samples and add a "piano at two octaves" instrument, or you use a seconde layer.
      If you want to spare the second piano layer, you can use one of the synth layers (you have 3) for the octave.

    Next. I just hooked up an extra pedal that just has a button inside. I would like this pedal to be like a controller, just switching some modes. But dear NORD says it's “not a compatible pedal”. So such an expensive instrument again can't do the simplest thing, just take a button (pedal with a button) and assign to it the simplest switching? It's advertised as a “cool stage instrument with tons of control settings”, yet again this instrument can't do the simplest thing!
    So, if I want to be able to switch something in pedal mode (like a button) I have to buy an expensive NORD pedal, so that I can't use the simple pedal I have? The instrument can't even work with a button..... A simple button!
