The Dutch are truly some of the best people I’ve met. As a Brit I feel like you are our European brothers, we share a lot in values and outlook. I’ve met and trained (muay Thai) with many Dutch. It’s all big smiles and hard strikes! Great fun

I've been following Rico for a decade. Even after all these years I constantly find myself amazed at this mans cardio every time he competes. He's not the strongest, he's not the biggest puncher, and he's not got some crazy flashy techniques. The man simply breaks his opponents with a superior conditioned heart and I love that style. Was a pleasure to see you guys working together and would love to see it again in the future.

Tom met Rico when he was young , Rico was part of early Team Fury ,when Peter Fury brought him in to spar in preparation for Wladimir Klitchko. Rico has trained with Peter to I believe and still very close to the camp . 🥊

Rico is of those guys who never gets tense, or nervous, or furious when fighting, in fact he is smiling and enjoying it even when he has his face and eyes completely battered, one in a kind..

@@Antoine-xl2lrwhat people forget is that a legkick like this rarely knocks someone out, especially not in the first rounds, but getting 3/4 of those kicks of in the first 2 rounds will make sure u cant stand on ur legs anymore in round 3/4. It often takes it toll later on in the fight. Some kickboxers were famous for using this sole tactic to win fights
What i love about watching Rico train: there is zero show boating. It’s not designed to look cool, there’s no unnecessary flash, it’s all about function. So refreshing after seeing TH-camrs do bullshit workouts for the cameras all the time.

Im pretty sure that 70% kick was actually more like 50% power, and the least one was prbably him actually giving it his reasonable all just aiming for where it would do the least damage.
I live in the Netherlands and all I can say is that Rico is loved by many among various ethnic groups (north africans ,turks etc) ,not necessarily because of his skills but because of his character .

I'm such a snob about form and being slow on the eccentric that it's weird for me to watch the leg training. I guess for Rico it matters less about Hypertrophy and more about explosiveness. Which makes sense considering the fact he's a kick boxer.
he wants to be as fast and agile as possible, you don't unnessacry weight bodybuilding and powerlifting muscles do absoloutely nothing for majority of sports.

I am from the Netherlands to and I used to work as a bouncer a long time ago in Roosendaal. And we al knew Rico and his dad. He worked hard to get where he is today. He build the ladder and climbed it! Nothing more then resepect for this man!
In boxing he would have a good chance against Rico. Rico is not the best boxer I think, a good boxer but especially his defence is sometimes suspect. But in Kickboxing it's not a match. Rico would legkick him a couple of times and it's done.

that wat you called apple jam, is not just a unhealthy sirop or jam. it only contains natural sugar from the apples and is rich in iron and zinc i believe. always when we had a pot in the house nobody eats it and then when you think heh im gonna take a sandwich of it then you look at it you see its already 3 years over date haha. but i like it tho, it taste great and is much better for you than just a regular jam. like i said before i believe its iron and zinc that its rich in, no additives. rico knows what he is doing

If Rico would kick 100%, with his 125kg (275 lbs), even someone like Eddie would've ended up in the hospital with either a broken leg, or a dead leg.
He also used a shin cover, so it doesn't hurt as bad.

The most impressive thing of Rico is his endurance. You can see it in his fights as well. It always the last few rounds he make the difference.
