People complain about bug, balance, political and cultural agendas and micro transactions. But at the end of the day they fail to for even just a moment appreciate what we today get to experience as gamers. This video for 8 minutes and 40 seconds sets that all aside and for a few fleeting moments shows what modern gaming really is at its core. We were being demolished the entire game, each sector being taken with very little resistance by the Germans. But that Fourth Sector...That's when things changed. I was on the Langer Max Gun by the railroads on Objective A, being reinforced by about half my team. The rest of them were holding B as best as they could. I remember the German team charged down the hill, but they weren't getting close. That Langer Max Gun I was on was being used to great effect, mostly targeting vehicles such as tanks. When there weren't any tanks or what have you, I'd turn my attention to infantry. They brought out artillery trucks, staying just outside of my range, pounding away at my big ass gun. Once it was destroyed, I joined those on Objective A. That's when the tide seemed to turn to the German's favor, storming onto A and B. We were fighting by the skin of our teeth. The German Team fought with a ferocity I had never seen before in Battlefield One. We returned the sentiment, "Ils ne passeront pas" (They shall not pass, like when it was used in French history, most famously in the Battle of Verdun. And what the DLC is named after) sort of deal. We fucking pushed them back to the trenches, just outside of A. We bloody fucking won that game! Just barely too, as the German Team fought like lions. All we were able to do at the end was make it a battle of attrition. I will always remember this match of Operations. It was the most fun I've ever had in Battlefield One, and I'm glad that it was my final game before I finally put it to rest...
Very well done. I immediately thought of my grandmother telling me stories about my great grandfather fighting the Germans in Russia in WW2 and the pillow on the wall in her room that had all his medals. 6 of them.

This isn’t just battlefield, this is one of the most accurate representations of war we have ever seen. While playing the game mindlessly is fun, taking a deeper looking, this game is horrible. It is a perfect portrayal of the ugliness and destruction and death.
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever watched. The purest love letter to Battlefield.
Actually brought tears to my eyes, thank you
Best thing I’ve seen in a while regarding the Battlefield franchise.
My grandfather was one number away from being sent to D-Day when i showed him this he cried
The very whimsical trex did you explain the game to him?
Bull shit
Ptsd be like
Oh no i can already see the comments
4 years passed and I always visit this video... this master piece
Aint gonna believe this is battlefield without players who trickshots can be seen
Why is this way better than any game trailer I've ever seen?
Very well done. I immediately thought of my grandmother telling me stories about my great grandfather fighting the Germans in Russia in WW2 and the pillow on the wall in her room that had all his medals. 6 of them.
This was filmed in a few random match,so we can officially say that someone was teabagging in the background
Probably me somewhere lol
God damm this was beautiful and well made even when all the footage was just random gameplay. Good Good Job my sir
Amazing, brings a tear to my eyes. My brother and i always played together but he is now in heaven. Well done
wow amazing. good job.
I'd say Battlefield 1 is one of the most intense game I've played. I Salute Dice for a well refined game.
This is actually bf1 and bfv mix
Chaotic Massachusett yes I know. But BF1 still has the better quality for me.
To the Air Force vet, his voice was amazing. Aim High!
Beautiful video and it saddens me in knowing that people only see the bad in these games and not the beauty in them and the community
on the oppisite, it saddens me in knowing that people won't see all the lies behind such beauty. Gaming will always stay art. Stay beautiful. Sad to see most people just going blind while they are getting fucked over again by the same guys who very well know about their actions...Every coin has two sides.
This had me nostalgic, this had me hurt, this had me cry. Fucking loved this game, I'll come back to this short film anytime and all the time. Great job man!
Why isn’t battlefield not very popular? It’s the most real looking one I’ve seen. There graphics are amazing. Wish it was more known
It is popular. Just not as popular as cod
when a game can play like the trailer, you know its a good game
This film made me feel so enthusiastic for what could have been in the new game, I wish they had hired someone like you to do the marketing campaign -this trailer was breathtaking in all the right places.
Damn that was awesome. DICE should hire this guy ASAP, put him in charge of marketing
this is better than all the battlefield 1 trailers i've seen to date. THIS makes me want the game, rather than the trailers designed to do so. Props to you, who made this.
This isn’t just battlefield, this is one of the most accurate representations of war we have ever seen. While playing the game mindlessly is fun, taking a deeper looking, this game is horrible. It is a perfect portrayal of the ugliness and destruction and death.
Incredible that we could have been in these shots
This is the most beautiful thing I've ever watched. The purest love letter to Battlefield. Almost brought a tear to my eye, the memories I've had with this franchise over the years with my friends still stick with me. I've always had a difficult time explaining to some why I loved Battlefield so much, this is it.
Thank you!
I remember my dad told me stories about the battle in Narvik, this cinematic made me think about those stories again. Simply amazing video.
I'd really appreciate it if you could share it here
Whoever voiced the narration deserves to be hired for movies or video games. Great use of music and scenery
As someone who has heard story after story and meeting people even seeing veterans tel some grusome things as a missionary kid, this trailer brought tears to my eyes watching it. I can't express the full explaination why, but just that; it's a home run for my book. Thank you sir, truly thank you
I know I’m like 10 months late but this video is just so beautiful. This sent as much chills down my spine as “goodbye battlefield 1.” This cinematic just had me remembering every experience I had in those direct places you showed
This ain't an art work, it's a master piece
Nice job!
BF1+BF5=🥹 amazing work!
I’m surprised no one has reacted to this on TH-cam yet.
Because it's underrated video maybe?
I’m surprised this has low views!?
Song starts playing:
Ah yes.. Chills
Had me on that Feels train all the way through. Amazing job! Pure Gold.
This is phenomenal, I'm lost for words, I can't think of any way this could have been better, wow. The narration, music, gameplay it's all so fitting. Thank you.
It's been 2 years and I still periodically watch this
One thing I like is that it filmed random players so it does not feel scripted like a movie and I find that cool
