Old live tv shows are the best! The best music with the lamest tv production in history! Great combo! The commercials are classics, the weather is as basic as you could do it! These guys just don't give damn and look like they're in rehearsal! Musicians are amazing and I love that the songs are recorded very dry so that you can really comprehend Roger's amazing voice.
This is about the 10th time of going through, and watching the whole series of these videos. Every time I watch this I learn something new, whether it's a riff from Yakety ax, or Roger Miller's wit.
just answered my own question when I watched clip no. 1. Guess I should have watched in order. All Good Things my friends...what a treat to watch these talented folks.
Ralph should have stayed on the radio. He has the face for it. Although I couldn't stand him on the radio either. Roger likely needed to be high to be in the same room with him.
@AngryScotProductions her used to get in fights and be up all night my bet is trucker speed but he did marry the chick from The First Edition so prolly weed too.

Live tv wow! Bring it back please . Get a listen to that band!
I really enjoy this show. The old tv commercials, that weather forecast, haha. Beautiful
thank you for sharing this
8:37 "We always do a highly informal show, anyway. The higher we get, the more informal we are." Absolutely classic from Roger Miller!
🤣😂🤣😂🤣🙃🙃

Husbands and wives, what a lovely tune!

This is the best thing I have EVER seen on TH-cam. Thank you for posting all five parts.
Brilliant! Roy Jenner Thanks
A very casual show, but it does show the songwriter mentality in Nashville. Nice.
No wonder these two look so young, it's filmed in 1966! Back when Ralph was starting out, really. Roger was a ypung man.
Treasures. Pure gold. 👏👏👏❤️❤️
Roger @7:05 - “It’s Jerry. It was a dirty word twenty-one years ago.” Ralph: No idea what the hell he’s talking about. lol. 😎
Ralph slept through that whole foreign affair that began in September 1939.
Ralph called Roger's comment racist. What an a**, on live television. Good come back by Roger, though.
The way that guy plays that laying down guitar is odd, but truly cool. I like the song, too.

Candy Girl awesome song reminds me of my dog named Candy.
Thumbs was a GENIUS!
That voice.
I love you Jesse. Thanks
"the higher we get the more informal we are..."
9:55 Am I the only one that was hoping Charlie would come out a knock Ralph’s obnoxious ass out cold?
So remind me, did Ralph do his all night show on WSM, then go over to the t.v. studio for the early show?
@JakobVirgil in any account, he is a legend
greatest wasted singer ever...
Candy girl, and that's where elevator music came from
Did not know Tom Carlisle he plays very well. Great lap guitar skills.
Kenneth “Thumbs” Carlisle. Not Tom
@JakobVirgil haha what was he into u know? just weed or..?
@AngryScotProductions her used to get in fights and be up all night my bet is trucker speed but he did marry the chick from The First Edition so prolly weed too.
Geez, Emery is annoying.
@JakobVirgil probly stoned too
He's playing conventional guitar, on his lap. Jeff Healey.
Thumbs Carlille
06:30 doo wacka doo :)
@AngryScotProductions nothing like getting hopped up on trucker speed and fighting.
@AngryScotProductions more than probly
Such great playing, and done so offhand...
Roger seems a little flat must not had his wake up dose.
Oh I get it he is drunk.
Word is he’d been up for 3 days on speed and booze when he taped this
