  • As part of the CoW Masterclass 2020, Guy ran a 2 hour workshop on day 2 where he examined submissions from the audience principally looking at whether or not the submissions were good or not. Many of the submissions made common mistakes. This one is not to be missed!

    Thanks for all you do Guy in helping us be better GMs and players. Your content has been a great inspiration, the teaching videos and the game sessions alike.

    Your dedication and commitment to helping people becoming better game masters is absolutely incredible. Thank you Guy - I am very happy to say I have your books and I constantly refer to them. If it was not for all of your processes my campaign would be a total spaghetti junction.

    I usually ask my players if they had fun. They kept coming back every week up until the pandemic forced us to stay home.

    1) Love Guy's voice and his reaction to it every time it breaks
    2) This was INCREDIBLY helpful. My players chose to do things differently and I've been feeling a little lost on how to to get back on track. I filled this template out (with the first "Arrive at the Plot" starting from where they currently at) and it made a world of difference.
    Thank you so much for sharing!

    Guy, I've been watching your videos on and off for about 6 months and have been a GM for almost 2 years. I watched all of your beginner tier 1 videos and was not disappointed to have the fundamentals brought to me. Thank you for teaching!!!

    I missed this at the time, but I just want to personally offer my sincere thanks for the effort you put into your craft. Sir, you are a scholar and a gentleman: Cracked voice and all :)

    I had a bar fight plot hook. A city guard was being assaulted by some thugs. The party didn't care, so one of the thugs bumped into the PCs table, spilling the beer and food they just purchased.
    That got them involved lol

    Could you upload all these filled out templates? They are good inspiration :)

    On the assassin one, I'd have it so that one of the party members is the target. Make it personal, right? Then the next part of the adventure becomes who is targeting them and why?

    How do you feel about outlining a few "random" encounters for an adventure to add tension to travel, indecision, or slowdown?

    Isn't "Arrive at plot" which is the step that happens before "Journey to plot" a bit weirdly worded? Perhaps "Presented to plot" would be better as that's what it's meant to be, right?

    • @peterjames5887
      @peterjames5887 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're very right. The step is worded weirdly, but it is the classic "exposition" stage. The players get information they will need to understand the future events in order to be able to actually make choices. I like to consider this after the rest, because to me, the end is super important to the beginning.
