Just wanna encourage others to visit the link Kasia provides here. I always start my day with an hour dedicated to watching online tutorials; it inspires me to take more photos and fine-tune my own editing. I almost confused the title (15-min-edit-masterclass) with its duration. But, no, it's a full hour of more invaluable and inspiring instruction from my/our favorite teacher. :)

Awesome teacher. These are my reference editing tutorials. I have a notebook for this channel. I noticed a great improvement in my photos.

EXCELLENT tutorial Kasia! I am looking to convert to Capture One from Lightroom as Capture One offers a stand-alone version. (I don't like renting (subscription) software. I LOVE your workflow! It makes perfect sense. Bravo!

I import with the linear response curve as my default because I tend to expose images with + 2/3 to + 1 exposure compensation to make sure I am recording the maximum amount of light data on the sensor.

The final edit seems a bit over cooked compared to your previous work showcased in the other videos. Especially the front rock and the shadows lifted seems a bit unnatural. . Interesting video however for study purposes and maybe the value of exaggerating a bit, serves the purpose of showing better the impact of changes

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Editing is always subjective. We all have different taste, which changes with time. And true - making the adjustments strong and obvious helps to illustrate their purpose. Especially that things look a bit different in the MP4 video. I'm happy with this one, but if I come up with something weird & dizzying - please tell me! 😄
