Wow! While I am not Catholic, I am truly stirred by this song. All Christians around the world need to stand united, now more than ever! In the one true King, we are one! :)
Of all the hymns I’ve learned and sang as a life long Catholic, this is my favourite. When our choir at Our Lady of the Angels at the Franciscan Renewal Center (Scottsdale, Arizona) sings this during our Easter Sunday Mass, my emotions run amuck, and I rejoice.
this hymn can be sung in so many different tempos. it is mind blowing. i have heard it sung very solemn and somber almost like a chant, i have heard classic choral assembles. this style is so different, catchy and lively. great job. cheers to my catholic friends across the pond.
All Saints Episcopal in Oxnard CA sings it out of the 1982 Hymnal, starting piano and gradually crescendoing to the most we can put out. Heaven-storming, trying to get the roof off the place, repeating the refrain as a coda at _fff_ dynamic. I've had a lot to do with that.
I like this song a lot. This song is very inspiring for me because I can feel the power of God, the bread of life is refer to the Eucharistic, which is our Lord Jesus Christ. If we received " HIM" believed in HIM and followed Him. No matter what happened, He will never leave us and if, we die, i'm positive we will meet HIM in heaven.
@@TheChorister51 I am a catholic. not woke at all. in fact anti woke. but do not like the term protestant. not sure why. i have a ton of non catholic friends. very devout. just christian. not catholic christian or orthodox christian. may be i am getting old.
this made me cryyyy such good tears. I would like to imagine all saints and angels are singing like this in heaven to adore the Lord.. I hope we all can be there with them one day :')
No one swings like the British! Once at an 11:30 Mass with Steve on drums and Dan B on electric guitar, I felt a reggae version of this coming on...I'd still like to try it some day.
A very nice arrangement. I'm more used to a slower tempo, if only because of decades of my mom (God bless her soul)singing it so as a member of St. Mary's choir. It's still a joy to see young people professing their faith.
Quite a different and interesting arrangement of this inspiring hymn. I have sung it many, many times at Catholic funeral Masses, as well as Sunday Mass and always feel the Holy Spirit welling within me....such a powerful message. Hats off to the choir and instrumentalists for their marvelous performance!
We played many different arrangements of this wonderful song over the years. We love the conviction and joy in this particular version though. Glad you appreciated it. God bless.
We just sang this song today, Easter Sunday, in church. It is definitely a powerful song, whether it's this arrangement (beautifully done!), or the original hymnal. It is awesome. And your version really gives it colors! BRAVO! :)
I’m a lapsed Catholic who hates the Catholic Church but loves a good old fashioned church tune...as such I don’t think drums have any place in a church setting. BUT, this arrangement is badass.
Are you going to church now for Lent? If you don't want to go to a Roman Catholic church, you might try an Orthodox one. Find one near you and check their schedule. Our Pascha comes after Western Easter. Pascha begins Saturday night, April 23. Try to go to Wednesday night Presanctified Liturgy, Sunday Liturgy and services during Holy Week.
Oh, a Ladin Messer I see. One of those who think the Celebration of the Eucharist should not look or sound like a celebration. Ladin and lace will not save you, renember that the Lord never wore a maniple or a pom-pom on his hat. Quotiescumque.
Wow! Drums, horns, guitars, organ, piano, and a modulation at the end! What an arrangement.
Yes, great arrangement by Craig McLeish and an awesome experience to play on it.

Lord Jesus, present in the most Holy Eucharist, have mercy on us Sinners.
God bless these British Catholics!!!
Enjoying this marvelous version. One of the best with a full congregation, WOW!

Have you seen/heard on YT the Notre Dame Folk Choir sing this? I love their emotion and obvious joy when singing this hymn.
@@fbagbey yes. that folk setting is golden hit.🥰

Glad to see there are Catholics still thriving in the isles. Cheers from an American Catholic.
Lutheran sing it too :)
Protestants sing it too. One of my favourites. Songs of Praise is usually a combined service with all the local churches.

Wrong lyrics and changing original tune of the composer destroying its true essence sums it all.
